How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

walking down on the path to the beach made me feel I was in a ghetto or slam or something. Although it was not my first time in Arambol, I keep being suprised what a dirty place it is. Everywhere trash, smell of burning plastic is continious.

Verified reviewReally nice, clean, and comfortable guest house. Right next to the beach. You can go to sleep listening to real waves. Angelo and Helen were excellent hosts, I organised a Airport pickup ( saved a lot of hassle after travelling for 18 hours) at a very reasonable price. I also rented a brand new scooter ( again for a reasonable price) which I scratched, Angelo was very cool about the whole incident. I will return next year!
Could have done with a kettle, but I didn't ask. Absolutely nothing else.

Verified reviewOverall it's ok property to stay until you find (on the ground) a place where you're going to stay until the end of your vacation. This is common in Goa, to book some place for a few days via Internet, arrive, and spend the time visiting premises and finding something more suitable. I'd recommend to consider neighbor villages (Mandrem, Morjim, Querim) if you're looking for more peaceful stay as Arambol is a party town. Also, if this is your first time in India, I'd recommend to be open-minded during the first several days (this is in general, not related to the property) :D Considering all above the guesthouse in review is OK. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Despite the dated look of the room, it was clean, including bed sheets. Sanitary equipment worked fine. And finally it's listed on booking.com and can be paid online. The latter helps to arrive to Arambol and have a place as an initial exploration base.
It's not a hotel, it's a basic guesthouse close to the beach at moderate price, so do not expect much. Property is dated and doesn't have "polished" look at all, but it was sufficiently clean. Obviously proximity to the beach and lack of sound proofing (like in the rest of India) means that you'll have to plug your ears, as otherwise you won't get any sleep until ~ 2am. Room has a small kitchen, but cutlery is in a dire state. Overall kitchen equipment doesn't look reliable, but I didn't try using it. There's no AC in my room (ok for this price), only fan, and the latter couldn't be configured to run at low speed (minimum speed is still to fast).
Thanks you for your review all you written is correct only one thing I want to clarify is we already mention in booking that we don't have air conditioning but as you told room is cold enough to stay under the fan. about the equipment it's might looks little older but it's not order but guest itself burn it on the gas and each and every time we can't give new one because guest never tell us that they broke something or burn and not paying for their mistake so this reason we are not keeping a new utensils.

Verified reviewThe location is great. It's right in the heart of it and its literaly on the beach. The only thing is you can hear loud music coming from the beach bars which are suppose to stop around 11pm but in my experience it was more like midnight.

If you want to rest, this is not the place. Loud music till 1 in the morning, and after that you still hear people screaming. In the morning you have the construction noise in the same building. Impossible to relax and have a good sleep. But if you are there for party probably it’s a good place. They don’t have 24h service. I had to leave at 5 in the morning to catch my flight and they said they can’t help me at that hour with the luggage. The stairs getting to the ground floor are so small and the taxi can’t get close to the place so you have to walk alone at night on small streets with barking dogs with your luggages. As a woman I didnt feel safe at all.
Thanks for your review first of all we already mentioned in booking that the service is not 24 hours. it's not a big hotel it's just a small guesthouse of few rooms. and for this we have 3 staff .if we hired more staff who woke up in the night time and give service for guest than again my expenditure will rise which means I have to increase price for the room but you know now a days guest need cheaper room .price for the room has to be cheaper . mostly in your case since your going during night time you should have ask for the taxi with us or even if you don't ask about the cab it's not our duty to drop you to the destination where the taxi stop. because during night time when the guest goes on airport or comes from airport we always sent our taxi so that our driver can help them for their luggage to carry n to give company for guest.i also told you to take taxi but you said no the price was all same . than i told you to take help from your taxi driver. that also you can't and please note one thing we charge you only for our rooms not to carry luggage in midnight to your taxi. our staff is not for that because full day they works very hard n atleast in the night they can rest. in the night we tell our taxi driver to help you. about the noise in the morning was coming because in Hakuna matata hotel their comod has broken by one guest n it's need to repair because the next guest was waiting for that room . i personally go to them to request them to stop this noise but they told me the above things. and it was just for one day. but during day time I have sent our staff to help you with your luggage. if our staff is free we sent them to help a guest.

Verified reviewVery close to the beach, modest but quite neat. Bedsheets are clean, hosts are decent. Located where a lot of locals stay, so good cheap Goan eateries are there (near Narayana temple).
One huge drawback are the beach bars nearby, they are extremely load at night, especially on the weekend. The passage to the beach is very dirty and narrow.
