Wonderful stay - a great introduction to Keralan hospitality. We extended our stay by two nights as it was so lovely. Staff, especially Hussain, could not have been more helpful, and we had a really fun sing-song with Joseph and his daughter on our last evening. WiFi signal was a little low in our (otherwise very comfortable) room, but hey, who needs WhatsApp :)

It was a beautiful place to stay and a very convenient location to look around Fort Kochi. Joseph was very helpful and set us up with activities and a tour of the key spots in the area.

Breakfast was served at 9am daily. It would have been convenient if there was the option for it to have been served a little earlier if required.

1) Joseph, the co-proprietor/manager, was welcoming, informative and helpful. 2) The architectural structure and decor was wonderfully traditional and local.

Our room was really cute and the building is lovely. Everything was very clean and the amenities were great. The host and his family were so kind and helpful. We opted for air conditioning as our room was quite hot with only the fan but this was very easy. Would definitely recommend when staying in Kochi.

This is a little gem, family run, beautifully decorated home from home! Its location is ideal being close to everything in Fort Kochi, but its setting is tranquil. The staff took excellent care of us and the room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Special mentions are needed for Hussain's great rickshaw rides and tour, and Josef's affability and advice. Oh and superb breakfast on the last morning! ❤️❤️

The Fort Bungalow is in a perfect location in Ft Kochi. I could walk everywhere and there was a Tuk Tuk service if needed. The place was lovely. I appreciated the arrangements that were made for me to see the Kerala Backwaters and get a massage. Thank you!

The Fort Bungalow is a lovely place. It is so beautiful inside. My room was perfect and beautifully appointed. There was a Tuk Tuk service with Hussain that you could arrange at any time. Also, day trips (Kerala Backwaters) and massages could be easily booked. The location is perfect as well. I feel comfortable walking to shops and restaurants.

Only one night, but a memorable stay. The villa feels like an oasis in the city. Every little detail makes sense and adds to the general magic atmosphere. The room itself is comfortable and clean. Josepf has great relational skills, could easily be a snake charmer beside a good manager. Till next time!

It takes awhile for the hot water in the bathroom.

Location is close to all of the major attractions of Kochi. The rooms are very comfortable. The building is very attractive and has many interesting artifacts that add to the appeal. Joesph, the owner was extremely helpful in helping us maximize our time both in Kochi and also in Kerala by helping us arrange for a driver, boat and wildlife area tours, a ayurvedic massages, securing train tickets,and advising on attractions to add to our itinerary. His recommendations, particularly for meals and drinks, were all outstanding and much appreciated.

1. I didn’t like that the pricing was very erratic. I paid over US $70 (a substantial amount) having booked earlier, and it came with no cancellation. Later I saw that I could get it for half the price. So if you can get this property for around $38 it would be really worth it. I can’t but suspect there is a kind of price game going on having nothing to do with demand. So get it for $38 at most. 2. The hotel is understaffed — it is run by a family. I was surprised that the guests basically had to manage their own baggage over a flight of steps. Our taxi driver to the airport was kind enough to help with the luggage.

This property has a very lovely ambience, and the rooms are large with a fully working and clean toilet.
