MalaysiaOur initial room was on the 3rd floor, where renovation work on the floor above caused noise and disturbance. The breakfast spread could have had a bit more variety.
The staff was responsive and helpful — they moved us to a quieter, renovated floor after we raised a concern. The renovated rooms were more comfortable. While they’re not fully finished with all the bells and whistles yet, they already look promising and will likely be even better once everything is completed. The restaurants were fantastic, with great food and ambiance. Breakfast was very good — not a huge variety, but more than sufficient and of good quality.

IndiaReception, I introduced myself, told them that I had to check in. Called the receptionist by her name and asked her how she was doing. I pulled the chair and sat down, introduced myself. I wondered why i had to pay for being nice to someone. Myself and my friend came to take a break and visit Chennai for 2 days. We both were tired from travel as we were up most of the night watching movie and next day morning boarding the flight. I was very disappointed as I never felt welcomed at the front reception. Not every thing can be bought through money! But a kind heart and a smile makes anyone’s day even if you don’t know the language. Attitude is the game in hospitality industry and just not a certificate or work experience. Highly disappointed!!

The Hotel is super clean, unbelievably comfortable, staff are so professional. The breakfast had a good variety. IndiaI really like the Club Lounge access that Taj provides when you select that package but it was disappointing that the same feature was not upto standard as in their other properties. it would help to have a more spacious club lounge area. Also having more experienced and warm staff at the Club lounge will make a big difference.
A very good stay as always with Taj. The reception and concierge staff were extremely helpful to help resource some information and amenities that I needed. The room was very comfortable and the all facilities in place. Happy to see the upgrade in bathrooms with latest world class amenities.

MalaysiaThe only issue we had was the noise coming from one of the rooms at our floor which was undergoing renovations/repairs where there was severe drilling and knocking sounds. In such situations maybe Taj could have left the floor empty or provided a huge discount for those who were willing to stay with the noise.
The breakfast was simply superb with a good variety. Sadly I was vegetarian due to prayers that I was doing at that time. The vegetarian food was wonderful especially the "ponggal soru" with the "Gun Powder podi". I found the waiters and waitresses attentive and obliging. I must make special mention of Ms Ariva at the Front Desk who was not only professional and so friendly but very helpful and ensured that our check-in and check-out was such a pleasant experience. I would also like to make special mention of Mr Divaker who was in charge of room-cleaning at the 3rd Floor during my visit. My wife and I were so surprised to find an "Uruli" with all the foot relaxing spa ingredients to help soak our tired feet after a long day of shopping. Also the way he tidied up the room by arranging the footwear and our toiletries was just amazing. Kudos to them.
