How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The only downside was the breakfast — it mostly offered North Indian options, with very limited continental choices. It would be great to see a more balanced breakfast selection in the future.
The rooms were spacious, clean, and had a great view. Room service was available every day and the staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant food was excellent, with a good variety on the menu. Room service for meals was also efficient and well-prepared.

I liked the staff. They were helpful with a few things that I needed out of the ordinary and very friendly. The view was green and beautiful.

Location is good. And the room was clean. Staff was good behaved. Not a great place, but a worthy one for you if you need an economical one in Co hin. I paid INR 2400 for one night, without breakfast.

The property was good though the location was away from the airport. But the day I booked it was above 5k and felt not worth. Then when I checked online it was around 2-3k, which is the perfect price.

The booked room category was not available on arrival. The music on the corridors is too loud and the bass was audible in the rooms from early morning. The worst about it was, that it was the song jingle bells in a loop, one month after Christmas.
Good value for money despite delays for check-in. We liked the dedicated outdoor space for smokers. The bathroom was spacious and functional.

Need little more cleaning .specially the bath towel is little dirty. And no dental and grooming kit not placed in the room.
Sugar Business Hotel in Kochi offers a comfortable and convenient stay for both business and leisure travelers, with its strategic location, quality accommodations, and commendable service. Breakfast is okey. The appam Live is very good and it tastes amazing .

the amenities are not enough then the price.

The snacks in the rooms were charged a bit high.
Overall it was an amazing experience. Excellent rooms, nice staffs, superb cleanliness and mouth watering breakfast....a perfect and comfort stay.

No ramp to entrance.There are only steps ate the entrance. If there are ramps it will be easy to push the luggage rather than carrying heavy stuff.

Our bedsheet was stained when we arrived past midnight, but the Housekeeping team swiftly replaced it and apologised as soon as we called.
This was our second stay at Sugar Business Hotel and we chose it again for its location and proximity from the airport/ hospital. It's clean and comfortable and the room/ bathroom is spacious. Breakfast is simple, but delicious. We would definitely recommend a stay here if it's a stopover from the airport or just a break in between a long trip.

The furniture was little bit older and more injured than on the pictures. They are building something behind the building of the hotel, so the view is not really nice, but we didn’t spend much time in the room anyway so it didn’t bother us!
The restaurant was very nice, the room was nice and tidy, and they cleaned it every day and changed our towels and gave new mineral waters as well! They were super sweet, gave us little present at the check out (dry banana chips and some other sweet snacks). I can recommend this accommodation!
