IndiaHowever, connectivity to the main city like mall road & old manali is a bit difficult as they have a single taxi service that drops you & he overcharges as he has a monopoly. eg old manali he charged Rs.600 which was exorbitant. Auto is available from Mall road/ old manali to sterling, which is good.
I travelled to Manali with my daughter. My prime concern was safety. I was also particular that the room should be clean, have comfortable amenities, good food etc. Sterling Manali ticked all the boxes and met my expectations & at times exceeded them. The staff is very hospitable and proactive and bend backwards to make you feel comfortable. IndiaStaff's approach is not good. They are not concerned about the customer. They put the policy, their own comfort before the customer's. Being straight forward is good but being rude is not acceptable. Their management's guideline is misplaced. I won't blame the front end people, I am sure they are pushed to act in that way because all of them were behaving in sync. Be it front staff, f&b staff at breakfast. The top management need to introspect what they are asking the staff to achieve.

IndiaThe rooms allotted to us were dingy, smelled bad and linens were not changed, when complained,the staff shared that the linens will be changed only the next day when rooms are cleaned, not even willing to listen.
The food was good, actually that was the only saving grace, the staff is courteous. And yes, while the check in time was 2 pm, they gave us the room at noon.

India1.No Doctor on call available which is must.Instead they gave us a local doctor number and he never picks up call. 2.Hotel run by trainees..everytime you call them from room, a trainee will attend and will say 'we dont know as we are trainees'. 3.Morning breakfast was good..but waiters were very less..we had to wait for 20-30 mins for evey single order.Crockery is limited..We had to wait for spoons and bowls at morning buffet counters. 4.About the room: good rooms size but AC/heaters sound was annoying..old Ac installed with gives sound when is On. 5.Checkin : again handled by Trainees.I booked a premier room with sofa cum bed..but she alloted us basic room which was smaller than shown in booking.com and she kept on saying that this is premier room.I always do my homework before checkin.i had to show them pics of rooms shown on booking.com.Only then she admitted and changed our room to premier one which was bigger.

IndiaThe service is not good. They need to improve the quality. It was very difficult to reach reception and restaurant as half of the time the phones were engaged. we have to try for half n hour to get the required things. Even after ordering a small thing such as water bottle we have to call again and again to remind them about it. Overall the service is very poor. apart from this the quality of food is not good. The quantity is very less and the taste is also not good. It’s better to eat outside than to order from hotel menu. even the breakfast buffet had very less and repetitive options with poor taste. This seems like an average hotel with average amenities. They do not stand up to the standards of Sterling group of Hotels.

The restaurant with 100% occupancy in MG road has better Wi Fi Speed to offer. - The Fried Fish & Chips ordered was tasteless & raw from inside
