How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThis hotel is extremely bad in terms of everything. Location is middle of nowhere and no parking. The complimentary breakfast that they claim is the one they buy from nearby local shops and you are sure to vomit if you take that. Hard fact is that you dont even get hot water to drink and no coffee or tea or any food for that matter. We booked 2 rooms and although our booking starts at 12pm, we came late by 2.30pm and still room was not ready, when we questioned the hotel manager was blabbering that he was working in Hyatt as GM, while the fact that he has zero customer service. Coming to the room, they mentioned big family rooms, but there is absolutely no space to walk even and everything was dirty and smelly from bathrooms, bed, screens. Tourists, this hotel has to be avoided at all cost and I paid a hefty amount for this worthless, junk, smelly hotel. This has spoiled our entire family mood and the way front office manager answers with a sick attitude is really something which is not acceptable at all. Booking.com, please dont add such junk hotels in your portfolio and your rating is at stake.
There is nothing i liked here. No breakfast, no food, no hot water to drink, no hit water to take bath, non working ACs. TOURISTS, PLEASE AVOID STAYING IN THIS HOTEL. This is extremely bad hotel to stay for families or couples. Very bad front office and shady behaviour felt totally unsafe for females. They get breakfast from local tea shop and give that as complimentary breakfast. Tastes horrible and got some free flies along with it. AC and water heater were name sake kept and it was never working. Electric power went on & off through out the night with no back up. Overall they got Rs.6000 for a room with full of bed bugs which in principle is cheating. Please avoid this hotel and never even take risk in booking and you are inviting free trouble for yourself. Also location is middle of nowhere and you can't even get hot water from this hotel. Most funny thing is that they have cleaning house maids as front office receptionist who were made to answer the guest as the hotel manager is unable to handle any of our questions. These ladies were using lousy local foul languages yelling and now the useless hotel manager is making a crocodile tears story out of it. What a pathetic way to handle the customers! First of all, when you entered our hotel, you were body shaming and teasing our lady staff, so my ladystaff crying so our front office manager asked, "Why, sir, do you act like that? , so next you tell, I want a discount; otherwise, I will make a bad review." You tell all lies, sir. You are a what kind of person? Next, you tell that it's not safe for family when you are here its not safe thats everybody know sir because you are bodyshaming so everybody know who is that kind of persons and after that we have automatic genset backup and next you already make a review in google but google verified and delete the review so booking.com you can check like this customer

Verified reviewRoom is good size. 2 king bed for 4 of us were wonderful. For the price paid, it exceeds my expectations. If it is 1000 more, it would be disaster.
Some facilities must be automatic. 1. We had to ask for kettle. 2. We had to ask for toiletries. 3. We had to ask for water bottles. 4. AC was trying to make the room cold but didn't succeed. May be it needs gas refilling.

Verified reviewThey provide premium n comfortable stay. Location is good it is near the rameshwaram temple. The most positive thing of this stay is its staff they are so cooperative n friendly. Due to some emergency i got delayed in checking out n they allow us to stay without any extra charges.
