How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Our (and I think_all_) houseboats are aged, and that shows. Ours had significant unevenness in the floors. The bathroom was small and outdated.
Our stay in a houseboat on Dal Lake was simply MAGICAL. Lavishly decorated and furnished, it was the exotic experience of a lifetime, not to be missed. Our room was hand painted ceiling to floor, an absolute wonder that should really be in a museum. Pretty comfortable beds with electric heaters. The staff was very helpful and we had good conversations with them in English sitting on the houseboat's patio, watching the chickara boats pass by.

Boat ride organise by the owner . Boat man was a conman .Stopped at shops when we told him not to . Careless and dangerous. Other boatman were telling him off . Regards worker on houseboat pretty awful. Dinner 1 hr late despite several reminder .Next morning he was another hour late in sending us to shore all this despite several calls and reminder.Nearly missed my connecting transport. Had to call him several times. Finally called the owner.

The only thing was we were charged extra for keeping the room heater, this might be as per their usual thing but bit disappointing as this was our first day of the stay
The property is good and Thanash Bhai who is the owner of the house was genuine and commendable, I mean as per the stay info both pick and drop were free from the ghat no 9 but we were actually got scammed by the Shikara waale they charged us 200₹ for the drop at the stay and when this came into Thaanesh bhai’s observation he immediately called them and scolded and our 200₹ were adjusted in next 1hr Shikara ride. And especially Mansoor Bhai, the assistant at the stay was really sweet and genuine he let us know all the information and helped us in all aspects.

The hospitality and food of this houseboat was exceptional. They also arranged a vehicle at reasonable price for our trip to Sonmarg and gulmarg. Even our pickup from airport and drop. Our srinagar trip was just comfortable due to the houseboat owner and staff and we enjoyed the sikara ride and shopping.highly recommended.

The rooms were very spacious, perfect for you if you travel in big groups as they have rooms in all three boats. They also have sitting area in front of the boat and also on the roof for you to enjoy the view. Would definitely stay there again!

A Dreamy Stay on Dal Lake - Highly Recommend Houseboat Dilnaaz! Our stay at Houseboat Dilnaaz on Dal Lake was an absolute dream. From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the serene beauty of our surroundings. The houseboat itself is a work of art, with beautiful traditional Kashmiri carvings and a cozy, inviting atmosphere.

There was no water in toilet and bathrooms in morning. one room was constructed of iron sheet, it was not houseboat and it was too hot room.
Only Dullake was good, but star rating was totaly fack and property was in bad conditions

Staying on a Dilnaaz houseboat was a peaceful and unique experience. The views were beautiful, especially during sunrise and sunset. The boat was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. It was relaxing to drift on the water and enjoy the quiet surroundings. The food served on board was fresh and tasty. Staff shariq, Din & Amjid was so helpful.

Best experience, it has rooftop that no other houseboat here has, we are really happy that we choose them for our honeymoon stay, lovely hospitality by Ashraf bhai, food was so yum, really thankful to each one here!!!!
