Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Atmosphere is great. Experience living in a haveli with basic facilities. Sight of fort from its roof was great.

AustraliaWe stayed in a room along the outer wall above the street the first night and didnt sleep at all because of the noise and dogs and rubbish in the street. We moved to another room inside which was wonderful so just ask for the inside rooms.
Wonderful green central courtyard and plenty of places to relax outside your room. Amazing view of the fort from the roof. Big beds for the three of us. An amazing heritage place to stay and fun for kids.

United KingdomRooms with outside walls were loud and rooms within the Haveli were much quieter.
The staff were friendly - lots of communal sitting space and cool in the heat of the day and the location was ideal for the fort and other mains attractions.

SingaporeWe liked everything. However don’t come here if you search for a European standard hotel 3 stars and above. It is a local hotel with local staff doing their best for you. Note that you will be waken up by the morning prayer from the mosque nearby at 6:15am (simply go to bed early to have a good night). Minor comment: the streets around the hotel are narrow therefore our driver did not want to drive us all the way to the hotel: you may need to hire a rickshaw for the last meters.
Very nice staff, clean. The owner is the only one speaking English but it is fine as he is always nearby and makes himself available. It is in the old historical city, it is walking distance from the fort / market and there are many rooftops available for meals / coffee at walking distance. We enjoyed a lot the breakfast on the rooftop of the Haveli (see picture of the view from the Haveli). We have 3 children and our 2 rooms were beside each other therefore perfect for a family. It was very quiet in the early evening allowing a good night sleep. Perfect for travellers who enjoy reading in a historical place far from the noise of busy streets.

IndiaThe roads are pretty narrow. This cannot be changed though.
The host was really good. The location is in old part of Jodhpur, and hence roads leading to the property is narrow. Once you enter the Haveli, the environment is totally different and very comforting.

United KingdomLack of privacy. Walk from town up to haveli. Heritage means it’s old.
This was not a room for me. The bedroom door had wire mesh only across the top fifth which meant there was no soundproofing or privacy. (There was a curtain to pull over the door) There seemed to be a lot of loud male (I didn’t hear or see any women in the two days here) voices outside the room day and night, but felt they were in the room. So much hawking spitting and retching. It was clean. Great roof terrace.

BelgiumVery welcoming and helpful manager. Food is great, served on the wonderful rooftop of this centuries old haveli. The room with three beds is spacious and comfortable. It is an old house so bathroom is basic but that is largely compensated by the charm of this well maintained place.

IndiaYou have to travel through really small lanes to reach there. If you have a big car, it will be tough. Also they don't have enough parking space.
It is very near to Mehrangarh fort. And at 2240 price, a bit fair.

United KingdomI would say I found some of the staff a bit too much for my comfort. I was a sola traveller and found that the waiting staff kept talking to me too much when I feel i made it clear I wanted to be left alone. To the point of some staff wanting selfies / photos with me because i am guessing I was a western white female tourist. I did get use to this being out and about during my travels but didn’t expect to get it at the hotels I was paying for and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I would say though the staff member that was before the receptionist with glasses was very helpful and a nice guy.
Good value for money and nice rooms.
