How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

A good property for couple, family & friends. Staff is very good, soft spoken, room services are also good. Highly recommended if you're looking a budget stay. The food also was tasty. The Hotel is very close to mall road. Excellent Stay.

Good for friends, couples as well ankush the services boy are there he was so coperative and good by nature the rangila jii manager sahab awesome so well behaved welcoming person we are there from 10 to 13 April 2025 and the comfort level was too good morning breakfast alloo paratha Maggie and tea is too good view is also good special the party on rooftop and the overall view was great

Nothing as such
The location of the hotel is perfect, very close to Mall Road and the room’s view was just awesome. You can see the snow capped mountains from their balcony. The staff and owner of the hotel are very well behaved and helpful. We reached at 6am while our booking was from 12pm still they accommodated us at that hour with room, with a smile. Food was tasty and reasonable. In short, this is a very good economical hotel which will not break your bank yet give you an awesome experience.

Not in my mind
I choose this hotel randomly on booking.com but it's my good decision to stay here, we stayed for almost 4days 3 nights and it's as comfortable as your home the rate, staff behaviour, room location, price everything is outstanding but one thing is my close to heart is the food it's the way more delicious 😋 We took every lunch and dinner at the hotel even it's late at night I have stayed here with my partner and we love this stay definitely goona to choose again whenever we visited there.

The slight gradient that leads to the hotel could be tiring but the location & ambience of the place and the hotel is worth it..
The location was great.. Just 2 mins. from Mall Road.. The ambience of the hotel is great.. Near the main market yet away from the chaos.. Room And bathroom were spacious and clean.. Lighting of the room was really nice.. And last but not the least, behaviour was excellent.. Mr. Roshan was extremely helpful and has a wonderful personality.. Staff were great too.. Will definitely stay here with family on my next trip..

Hotel Royal is a lovely hotel. The room was nice, and the bed was comfortable. The staff was always smiling and helped us with our bags. The location is perfect, very quiet and peaceful. I had a very good experience.

Hotel Royal exceeded all my expectations! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel right at home. The views from our room were simply breathtaking, with snow-capped mountains and lush greenery all around. The room itself was clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated with a cozy vibe. The food was excellent, with a wide variety of dishes to choose from. If you’re looking for a peaceful, scenic retreat in Manali, this is the place to be. Highly recommend!
