How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The whole interior of the hotel smelled of humidity. Swimming pool was not available due to renovation, and this information was not disclosed before reservation.
Good quality hotel in a reasonably central location. Very friendly and helpful staff, breakfast with many delicious food options. The room was clean and of good quality, with all the necessary amenities provided. Pub located at the premises was a nice place to relax after a day of sightseeing.

1] Hotel refused to provide 2 keys to the room even though there were 2 of us staying. 2] Gym was locked and unattended. To get in you had to re-program your room key to let you in. But then had to re-program the key again to get back to your room! 3]. We couldnt get hot water in the room. Maintenance person came and said you had to run the water for 20 mins to get hot water. Seemed such a waste of water and it still didnt work. After second complaint a more experienced person came and said the Hot / Cold indicators were the wrong way round and you had to turn the knob towards Cold in order to get Hot water. If not possible to fix the pipes at least there should be better information and staff training on this.
1] Breakfast selection was good. 2] In-house bar was good = quiet. But very limited food choices.

I could smell someone smoking cigarrete in the corridor almost everyday at a particular point tim just before lunch

When we first came in, we were greeted by an odd smell which I didn't like. Also, the lights were not too bright. The room was a bit dark. An improvement can be to add a bulb which the customer can have the option of turning off if they want.
The location, although not central, was very convenient to us as it was close to where we needed to be.

The room we were given had NO VIEW. All we could see from our window was the wall of the next building, barely four feet away. The bathroom drain got clogged within a few minutes of turning on the shower and the entire dry area of the was full of water in no time. This should have been checked before our arrival.
The complimentary buffet breakfast had a fantastic spread. Mr Balaji at the restaurant was very courteous and respectful, making it a delightful experience.

The room in the annexe building that was given was cramped & with no view of outside & we felt really uncomfortable . The hotel made us pay before we arrived , so we didn't have the liberty to get a better room .

The WIFI was inconsistent and terrible at times. The overall room arrangements and facilities are quite dated but still comfortable. The room phone did not work, so I couldn't order room service or anything without going to the reception.
The rooms were cleaned everyday and pretty comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful.
