Nothing. It was perfect.

Purity is in an exceptional location; it's a true paradise on the edge of Lake Vembanad. The building is full of understated charm with an understated and thoughtful design aesthetic that appeals to all the senses. The team work incredibly well together, were warm-hearted, nothing was too much trouble and worked very efficiently to organise everything that we asked for with great attention to detail. We felt genuinely cared about by all the staff including but not limited to Mary, Sarath, Arya, Ajikumur and Vishnu. Everyone took great pride in doing an excellent job with good humour to make their guests’ stay a memorable one. The food here is wholesome and delicious and the rooms immaculately maintained by excellent housekeeping staff. Each room has a unique character with spectacular views over the lake. If you have the chance to go, you should. A memorable and delightful stay.

The only thing we could fault is that they don’t have a bar. And sometimes you just really want a beer. But the lovely staff did offer to go to the village and purchase some for us.

Everything, amazingly beautiful property, fabulous interior design, wonderful service from the staff and great food. We also went to the beach at madurai one afternoon which was close by and a beach you don’t want to miss.

The approach to the place is rather narrow and winding, difficult for large vehicles but it's manageable

Everything! The beautifully designed rooms, the location, the serene atmosphere. The staff were wonderful too, very accommodating and helpful. We were given packed breakfast because we left before breakfast opened on the day we checked out. Every consideration was shown to our parents who travelled with us, serving food in the room veranda because our mom could not walk with ease to arranging for massage in the room, to helping us fit in our activities within our limited time. We had a wonderful stay!

We loved everything! It is a quiet place but you can go easily to Allepey and Fort Kochi by taxi for days out.

What a beautiful, tranquil place. Our room was large with a huge balcony and very comfortable, and the garden and pool are immaculately maintained. Food is wonderful - gorgeous breakfasts, fresh local fish and excellent for vegetarians too. Chef Sahal made a wonderful tasting menu on our last night. We did some sightseeing organised by Mary, and enjoyed fabulous Ayurvedic treatments. The welcome and care from staff was exceptional: thank you Arya,, Suresh and all the team! Purity is very special and we're so glad we chose it.

The staff did a great job of what they had to cater for vegans but perhaps senior management could consider extending options (e.g. soya milk). This did not adversely affect our stay due to the excellent improvisation of Sarath!

Stunning location, a beautiful serene break from the hustle and bustle of India. The staff were so warm and attentive - special mention to Mary on the front desk who greeted us on arrival and helped us throughout our stay and Sarath who worked tirelessly managing the restaurant - they are a credit to the hotel. Thank you!

Enchanting location, very calm and peaceful with beautiful views of Vembanad lake. The hotel is a work of art - a church creatively renovated with stunning modern design contrasted by historical artefacts and paintings. The breakfast and dinner was great and the staff were incredibly helpful - waiting up until 1am for our late arrival and upgrading our room. The boat ride to the other side of the lake and the narrow backwaters was well worth the money - the driver founds us lots of bird and wiildlife to photograph (kingfishers, an otter etc).

Everything! The staff was incredibly sweet and attentive. The restaurant was beautiful and the food was super tasty. The rooms were large, beautiful, clean and comfortable. The resort area in front of the lake was breathtaking. We had a wonderful 90 min massage, plus morning yoga sessions, and they also organized a boat tour and a taxi for us. Additionally the new year's eve dinner and entertainment was spectacular!

If Kearala is God's own country, Purity@lake Vembanad is God's own retreat ! We spent 2 nights 3 days and we definitely will come back ! The staff was so sweet and accomodating, We had complementary one yoga session, one canoe tour with the sweetest fisherman (he took time to take us to his fish net and show us how it operates) and everyday a "gouter" in the afternoon. The chef was really very professional and nice (I had one of the best biryani in my life!) Everywhere you set your eyes in the hotel it is only beautiful things, decor and art. Massage was lovely. End your trip in Kerala with Purity is the best treat you can give yourself !

The water wasn’t running hot. We were told to wait 15minutes. The taxes of spendings are never included, which was unusual and unexpected for us. Cold drinks are never really cold. No bottled still water available.

We really enjoyed our stay. I love how art was integrated into the hotel. Amazing food. Both breakfast and dinner were amazing. Everyone is very helpful. People are friendly and caring. So many activities to attend and the hotel arranges everything for you. We did a houseboat tour, which was also a very good experience.

This property is straight out of a heaven, it was a perfect stay . One stormy afternoon we were stuck due to flight cancellations and we wanted to stay some where and then we found purity . Original plan was to stay only two nights till flight service resumes but the place was so good that we extended for another 3 nights . Big shout out to Manager Mr Sujith , reception representative Mary and chef Mr Lijo they made us feel like king and queen during our stay at purity. The food and service is one of the best India , and we travel a lot.
