How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Calm with beautiful interior that has an amazing view to the mountains. Clean and comfortable beds and good hot water shower. Chilling Hangout place and Cafe that has the best food in town including various vegan options that were perfect for me. 5stars for the vegan breakfast and spinach mushroom momos👌reasonable prices and staff and owner is really helpful and welcoming☺️new organic food cafe is also about to open in this place rooftop 🙏🏽😊definitely coming back for sure✨

Rooms were clean and comfortable. The view from the balcony was beautiful. Perfect location in Old Manali. Food was delicious and staff were so friendly and helpful. We had a great stay.

Beds were good, only 4 people to a room, bathrooms were fine, privacy curtains, and the cafe area was perfect for hanging out, doing work, and the food was so good I hardly ate anywhere else. Staff was awesome too, friendly and always ready to help.

This place is just amazing! The location is really good, in Old Manali, with a beautiful view. They prepared meals and everything is really really good. The staff is so friendly and the rooms are clean and big. I would repeat! Thank you very much for all

going up the hill can be a challenge by the end of the day
Great location with Mountain View’s from the door of the room. staff was very friendly and helped with ANYTHING we needed. Also food was reasonably priced and never tasted anything I didn’t like.

Shower wasnt always hot, I used my own towel but you can probably ask for one.
Very welcoming staff, good breakfast and food, I loved the room with a gorgeous view of mountains. the bed was super comfortable and I had lots of space in the room.

The rooms were very cold but this is to be expected in the winter in Manali.
The room was spacious, clean and has great views of the mountains. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was nice.

Great place in old manali with a chilled and relaxed vibe. The owners and staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming. A varied menu of tasty dishes was on offer. They have some nice rooms most with good mountain views. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately the hostel was very loud at night. Music was playing in cafe until around 12/1am, and because of the location, there are a lot of other restaurants and cafes around. 2/3 nights there were huge groups of young travellers in the restaurant next door playing music until 3am and shouting. We also had a family next to our room the same night who were making lots of noise from 5am (music, talking loudly etc). If noise is not an issue for you, then this hostel will be fine, but for us it was really difficult to sleep. Also not sure how often the bed linen is washed. The first room we stayed in the blankets smelled of stale smoke, and we noticed they weren't changed for next people when we moved rooms. Overall, it's a good, budget-friendly, sociable hostel and the staff were great!
Really central location. Welcoming staff. Spacious rooms and hot water showers. Good price. Nice cafe. Free breakfast with private rooms.

The balcony could be accessed from the street, I was joined by a stranger one morning who saw me from the street and wanted a chat.

Prices of the cafe are outrageous. Noise and party is on until late every night right next to the rooms. Every night they showed the room to people at 1am turning on the lights and not really caring about people sleeping. Wake up to guests smoking bidis inside room every morning at 6am. You get what you pay for, I guess.
