Things to improve but won't consider them as negatives owing to homely atmosphere and pricing: One bed in the trippe bed room was making noise. Bathroom door latch wasn't working from outside. Bathroom interiors are dated. Had a bit of difficulty with water supply in the early morning as we wanted to checkout early. Land lady turned on the motor immediately on notifying but she didn't know the controls and hence had to wait till Mr Joy returned back to help.

Mr. Joy was very responsive from the time I booked the accommodation. He was accommodative of late check in request due to travel delays. He helped us settle quickly. He was informative and recommended things to do. Rooms and beds were tidy. Location is a big plus. Easily accessible to all Fort Kochi attractions, Beach, Water Metro and good restuarants including street food. Property has terrace access and Balcony access. Clean towels, linen, soaps and shampoo was provided. Hot water is available subject to weather as it solar based. Economical stay, so can't complain about facilities. You may need some assistance to drive to the property once you reach the location.

The kitchen wasn’t in the best condition for me to cook in, and there were a lot of mosquitos in the room. Would consider getting a net for the bed.

Joy and the family were very sweet and accommodating. The room was very well located on a quiet street. Loved the balcony and the fact that it was on the second level. The hoist organized a backwaters tour for me.

Was locked out of upstair common area that leads to rooms,when I went for a walk at night, managed to get back in with after a time - so good security just helpful to know.

Staff were approachable and friendly. Although I would ask for their mobile in case you need anything during stay. Thank you for helping me out with my money problems and organising the taxi Thank you for the early morning chai.

The owner is very nice and helpful. The room was comfortable and quiet. The kitchen was well equipped. The location is good, and I rented a good bicycle nearby for 250 Rupees a day. This was one of my favorites places I've stayed in 4 months in India, both the homestay and Fort Kochi. Much better to stay in Fort Kochi than by Marine Drive. It's quiet for India and has so much character. I loved it. Thank you!!!

Simple and effective accomodation.

The location is perfect for time in Cochin and the hosts were very kind and helpful. Although the AC in our room didn't work they gave us two other rooms the following night with effective Aircon.

Great room and fabulous to have access to a shared kitchen and space with only one other guest room. We didn’t make use of it as we were only on transit, but would definitely recommend did staying in Kochi !

A lovely homestay in Cochin. Aunty and uncle make you feel welcome. The room was spotless and the bed comfortable. The property is centrally located near the theatre and walking to distance to restaurants nearby.

We absolutely loved our stay, we had a lovely warm welcome from the family who gave us little home made snacks. The room was clean and comfortable with toilet paper, soaps and bottled water. We loved the delicious home made South Indian breakfast with fresh pineapple juice and chai. Nice little outside area and inside seated area and dining table just outside the room on the same floor away from the rest of the house . We will definitely return if we go back to Kochi!

It was a lovely time at Lazar Residency. The room was really pretty and clean. The woman was amazing, she gave us lots of recommendations on where to go next and we could learn more about her life. She has a really sweet daughter who is also around.

Highly recommend. Excellent location, and a very friendly family. Comfortable, clean rooms with good beds and nice bathrooms. Our two rooms opened to a living room area so it was like a suite. We really appreciated the flexibility to check out late. Would definitely stay again!
