Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IndiaI felt the bathrooms could have been cleaner. Room had a peculiar smell to it Had to call house keeping to change all the sheets as I felt it was used and they did it promptly without questions. Pool looked clean but was not chlorinated. Water left a weird after taste in the mouth (the one you get after eating pineapples). Had mosquito issues in the room and the open terrace restaurant.
Hotel was clean and so were the common areas. Breakfast had good options. Food was really good and decently priced. Tour Operator Zakir (Hotel Tie Up I presume) did a good Job with the tour packages and prices. It seemed very genuinely priced for the vehicle and the travel involved. Cars were clean and the drivers were respectful. Definitely need to know Hindi for operational ease.

SpainI’m writing this to warn travelers, especially foreigners in India. The hotel itself was good, but our review is completely shaped by the horrible experience we went through, for which the hotel is responsible. This is the story: We wanted to travel from Jaipur to Jodhpur and asked at the front desk if they offered transportation services. They said yes and immediately called Zakir, who was introduced to us as the hotel’s travel agent. He offered us the trip from Jaipur to Jodhpur for 7500 rupees. The price was excessive, but we accepted without negotiating, thinking the service would be excellent. Zakir asked for 2000 rupees in advance, which would be deducted from the total cost. We gave him the money. The next day, Zakir told us our taxi was waiting outside. He asked if I wanted to give him the remaining 5500 rupees before the trip or to the driver upon arrival in Jodhpur. I chose the latter. When we saw the car, we were surprised by its condition: it was an old, poorly maintained vehicle, full of dents, and the seat belts didn’t even work. But the worst was yet to come. After about an hour on the road, the driver stopped at a gas station. He rudely opened the door and demanded 2000 rupees for fuel. I told him no, that the deal had been made with Zakir and that at no point were we told we had to pay for gas. He seemed to accept this, made a few phone calls, and continued the trip without refueling. After that, he started driving like a maniac—speeding, talking on the phone for hours, and even making video calls. A couple of hours later, he stopped again. He tried to start the car, but it wouldn’t start. It had run out of fuel. He had been driving for hours knowing he needed gas and didn’t stop until we were completely out. We were stranded in the middle of nowhere, at night, more than two hours from Jodhpur. Since the driver wasn’t doing anything, we called Zakir. Then the driver aggressively opened the door and said, “You have to wait 10 minutes.
The location is not bad, near to metro. The room was ok. The swimming pool area was pretty good, althought some members all staff stay there for a long while waiting to see my girlfriend in bikini.

SerbiaAC was old and very loud. Poor communication with staff, who claimed they would send a pickup at the train station but didn’t. Then the male at reception in the evening simply shrugged when we complained. Location isn’t great. Half way between the old city and the train station, behind the bus station and off a very busy, dirty, noisy road.
Fantastic restaurant with a good choice of food. Nice pool, perfect for getting away from the hustle and bustle. Room was spacious with a big bed and working shower, TV, fridge, and other amenities

United KingdomWe didn’t like the evening entertainment. While we were trying to eat, the performers would ask you to get up and dance. They also stand after performing holding money waiting for people to tip them. It was a very awkward silence. If people tipped, the guys on the drums would start clapping. One of the guys from the entertainment even offering to sell the puppets. We had to say no 3 times before he left us alone. We ate in the hotel restaurant to avoid being harassed so we were really disappointed. We would have rated the hotel a 9 if the entertainment didn’t beg for tips.
The staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. The room was extremely clean and bed very comfortable. We didn’t use the pool area but had a look and it looked nice and clean. Restaurant for evening meal was very nice with a great variety of food.

AustraliaLaxmi Palace Heritage Boutique Hotel offers a truly charming stay with its beautiful decor and warm hospitality. The staff were exceptionally helpful and made sure we were well taken care of throughout our visit. We especially enjoyed the flavorful, spicy food—each meal was a treat! The nightly cultural show was a unique and memorable experience that added to the heritage feel of the place. With a bit of detailing and fresh paint in the bathroom and showers, this hotel would easily exceed all expectations. A lovely blend of tradition and comfort!

GermanyNice and friendly staff. Breakfast ist ok, but they do not tell you that omelett is available as well. Rooms are spacious and comfortable - only if you want to go to bed early: forget it, as the hotel ist behind the central bus station with much of noise - and they have a very noisy traditionelle show every evening from 8.00-10.00pm at the roof top terrace (dinner place).
