The place was so beautiful and clean! We absolutely loved staying here. Ashwathy was very accommodating and gave us amazing recommendations on where to shoo and eat. The breakfast was also delicious. Overall, it was an amazing experience, and great location close to almost everything !

The rooms are exactly like whats in the pictures, we got here because we booked another place and the room was not what's shown in the pics, screams heritage, really calms you down with that old Keralian architecture aesthetics! Kudos to the owner who came up with the idea.

Everything was just the way I wanted. It's like a Living in a Beautiful Home.

Breakfast was so delicious huge quantity and it's like purely homely made food and can't get any better than this. They also upgraded us to King Room at no extra cost, but with a Huge Beautiful Happy Smile.

At first I was worried about the noise/traffic but seriously after a day or 2, you get use to it; it’s mostly during the day and at night it’s relatively quiet for a peaceful sleep 🥰

I absolutely loved my stay at Kowdi house, it’s seriously a gem in Kochi. Super well located, close to nice cafés and restaurants. There’s a tea house with local snacks just next door. Ashwathy and her husband are super warm and welcoming and they love sharing their culture me. I arrived quite late and they waited for me to arrive and she made me some homemade food. Felt instantly at home. Felt so at home that I decided to come back and this time stay for a month. They made sure wifi is working properly for my work, helped with food catering, laundry and also there’s a little kitchen if you need to warm up your own food or cook something. I know after a month here, i will for sure be coming back again.

I had a wonderful stay here during my work trip. The check-in was smooth, and the hosts were warm and helpful. The room was clean, spacious, and perfect for working comfortably. The building itself is almost 90 years old and absolutely beautiful — full of charm and character. It truly felt like a home away from home. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful, work-friendly stay. I’d love to come back!

Kitchen was okay but a bit messy. Could have been nice if it was clean like the room you provided. We only use it at the time of arrival for a brief period, don't know the status after that but other than the kitchen all the other parts of the property are squeaky clean.

Location is central with all the needed amenities. close to Subash park and Marine drive if you want to take a relaxed stroll during your stay. Staffs and the owner were very friendly and made my mother's and sister's stay very comfortable and safe. I definitely recommend Kowdi house.

Very very spacious and super nicely decorated room ( the ceiling, the lights, furniture), very complete and with the heritage feel. Very friendly owners who provided tips where to go ( we loved the Kerala museum, which provided nice overview of history) and the Mattancherry palace with Dutch maps from 1670. We also enjoyed the Kerala breakfast at Kowdi and the packed breakfast for our train journey 😍

Nothing. I had booked the property for an appointment the next day at VFS Global which is about 10 mins walking distance. Though very much in the heart of the city the street in front of the property has relatively less vehicle traffic.

The lighting in the rooms is excellent and aesthetic. Necessary toiletries and tea leaves/coffee powder with kettle was provided. Mosquito repellent was provided and was definitely a mandatory item in this city. Beds were very comfortable and Air conditioning was top notch. Smart tv to login and view your Ott account was provided. The location on the Google map is easy to find. Free parking in a 24 hour security parking lot adjacent to the property is provided. Shout out to Somnath for his warm and cordial reception. Will surely come back again. Ambi swamy's Vegetarian hotel and Nellikka hotel provide good food options nearby. Or you can opt for online food portals. Dining tables are provided in the common area along with a potable water supply.

I recently stayed at Kowdi House, an old bungalow transformed into a modern boutique hotel that beautifully retains its old-world charm. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed warmly by the host, who went out of their way to accommodate our entire group on short notice—an incredibly thoughtful gesture. The room was incredibly spacious, offering plenty of room to relax and unwind. The decor blended vintage charm with contemporary touches, creating a unique and cozy atmosphere. The bathroom was spotless and comfortable, making it a pleasure to use throughout our stay.

I liked that it is located in the middle of the city with easy access to the metro and all other shopping places. The rooms are very spacious and new. The water is also good. I loved how there is a whole positive ambience setup because the owners of the property are greatly into yoga and meditation practices. There is also an isha life store just at the bottom which gives lot of eco friendly products

Kowdi House, A laxurious beautiful property with traditional touch. The property is well maintained and has a vintage vibe.Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The rooms were impeccably clean and tidy.The owner Somnath Kowdi and Family went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable,their hospitality was truly unmatched.Mr. Somnath is a fantastic host! From the time we booked his place, he was very helpful and quick to respond.Check in and out was very smooth and flexible.The house was easily locatable. Its near to Water Authority office Pulimukku. Autos were mostly on house gate itself( Uber is best option ). Has very good veg restaurant (Ambiswamys veg restaurant)at 400 m walk itself.The house is situated in the heart of the Ernakulam city M G Road area. Hence all the places were very approachable with close proximity.Ernakulam junction Railway station, Metro station with in 1.5 km distance.I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Ernakulam.

I had a great stay at Kowdi House, a lovely heritage homestay in the center of Kochi city. The building is over 120 years old, and they have done a wonderful job maintaining it in its original style. The location is convenient, with easy access to many attractions. The rooms were clean and comfortable, giving a traditional feel. Somnath, the host, was very friendly and made sure we had a pleasant stay. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Kochi. Will definitely visit again.
