We are Ayase and Yui from Japan, and we stayed at this lovely homestay in Mathura for two nights during our trip to India. It was our first time visiting the country, and we wanted to experience real Indian culture — not just the tourist places. Staying at this homestay was the best decision we made! From the moment we arrived, the host family welcomed us like their own daughters. They greeted us with smiles, offered sweet chai, and helped us settle into a cozy, clean room with tastefully furnished. We loved waking up to the sound of temple bells and birds since our room was at top floor. The homemade food was oishii (delicious)! Every meal was different, and they kindly explained the names and spices in each dish. Our favorite was aloo paratha for breakfast and malai kofta for dinner. They even adjusted the spice level for us. What made our stay truly unforgettable was the personal touch — the owner's wife taught us how to wear saree, The host at reception was always their to hear us out after a long day, Thanks for it really. One evening, the Host arranged us his cab to the Yamuna River for the aarti ceremony. It was beautiful and peaceful. We also visited Krishna Janmabhoomi with his help and felt very safe and cared for. We learned so much about Indian culture, language, and family life. We laughed, danced, and shared stories. Maybe my fault by not asking the right question but their taxi to the train station was overpriced! It is actually just a 6 minute walk or so as the platforms can be accessed by a bridge from the side of the homestay

It was very clean and comfortable. I also liked the neighborhood. However be aware that the places of interest In Mathura are quite some distance away

Krishan Homestay is an excellent Location. The hosts are open-minded and helpful. Difftent snacks, traditionel indian food and drinks are available on request. The location is more in an outskirt area. The windows and doors are not burglar proof.

Approach to stay place is very narrow. Parking is not good. Food it would have been better if more options were there for south indians. Laundry to be provided .

At one point we lost the light in the room. Probably the issue with installation. Later it came back on.

Like an oasis in the middle of Mathura. Room was kind of small but looked good and it was cozy and clean. Staff is really helpful and helpful with providing a taxi ride to Agra. Trustful people.

Location is good. Staff is very polite and helpful. They arrange late night drop for us which was great as we were 2 girls and worried about our safety for night travel but they took care of us and used personal vehicle for safety. Overall good stay, highly recommended.

The atmosphere is great here, attracting nice people, and the staff are equally very nice. The terrace is a great place to hang out and the breakfast is the best I've had in a hostel in a long time. you're going to have to expect a bit of noise which is part of the experience, just bring ear plugs!
