The water in the shower area of the washroom was not draining out in a proper way and so water leaked out after every shower in the bathroom. Room named named Helena. No kids related spot in the property to keep them a bit engaged . The chairs in the glass house dining were not clean enough. Coffee and Tea in the complementary breakfast were awfully bad was not expecting that as the other food items were well made. Coffee at the complimentary high Tea in the evening was good though. Food is priced very high even though it was good but it can be reasonably priced.

The staff and service is excellent. Food is great quality but a bit on the expensive though.

Drain of the wash room was not functioning properly

The room initially allotted was very small and dingy. Not value for money. Then I asked for a change it was given. A fresh room was given with additional charges.

The site needs some maintenance to be done to increase the experience level. WC was not cleaned well, especially the area behing the cover joint - out of sight, out of mind. Food taste can be better. I stayed in Destiny Farms by the same company during the same trip, and the food taste was far better there.

The look and feel of place is excellent. The front garden is excellent place to be in, perfect for photo session.

Hair dryer is missing there and if portable heater could be there then it’ll awesome. may be if i asked to reception they might be give but if it should be randomly then its awesome i think.

Prices during peak season can be exorbitant.

Excellent spread for the breakfast, friendly staff, nice glass house dining area on the cliff, nice dining experience near the fireplace on cold evenings.

Lovely location, quirky colonial feel, comfortable and clean, beautiful garden and views. Staff helpful, Concerned as there are some bad reviews, at the end of the day its not 5 star but it’s not 5 star prices. Wouldn’t rave about the food but it was fine.

The initial rooms we had had booked very nor very good, but that is not really the fault of the hotel. It is what I had booked on line. The rooms we changed to were excellent. Because of the cold weather the food was getting cold. But again not the fault of the hotel, for example the soups were being served piping hot but were cold by the time we finished.

We had booked 3 rooms. But when we saw the rooms they were very small, so Manoj the manager on duty happily upgraded us to better rooms with a sit out and a lovely lawn in front, with a view of Ooty. These. rooms were very good and comfortable, The staff were very helpful. The 2 ladies who cleaned the rooms were very good, unfortunately I do not know their names. Shekhar who was on night duty came and gave us hot water bottles which were so welcoming, he was also very helpful. The food was superb we had most of our meals at the hotel.

Built in 1900s and frequently visited by britishers This hotel will win your heart the moment you enter the gate. It has a very good ambience and positive vibes for relaxation. The breakfast buffet has a lot of options to choose and fill your tummy. The staff is also very friendly and cooperative.

Food is bit expensive. Room required little make over.

Front desk staff is very helpful and friendly. Manoj from front desk is very helpful. Hotel will arrange cab or auto for you if you are interested in local sightseeing. Food quality is excellent. Must Try - Continental food and Kabab . Breakfast spread is decent includes Idli, Medu Vada , Paratha, Poha etc.

Not a lot though a few tweaks could be in order such as net curtains where our bedroom was visible from other guests and staff. I do think though that only ours was affected. One BIG negative was the fact that the hotel did NOT serve wines, beers, cocktails etc.A big shame when such lovely food was served and not in keeping with the requirements of the modern international traveller!

The food was excellent at breakfast and dinner was exceptional with Continetal, Indian and Asian dishes on offer.The Staff were also very pleasant and helpful. The location was superb with fine gardens, plants and flowers in the well tendered gardens The views over Ooty were spectacular from so High. The reason we chose this property from so many was the colonial charm - the hotel looked like it must have done in 1925 with old photos, prints and other memorabilia on show What history! The location was great, being away from the hustle and bustle of Ooty down below. Would definitely stay again.
