How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Didn’t realise the room was non AC on the booking so make sure to check.
Great location and good value for fort Kochi. Hosts were good at communicating with us before our stay and made check in easy.

Very clean and up to the mark homestay. We stayed for two days and its near to all the tourist places of Fort Kochi. Be aware that the alley way to the homestay is only accessible through walking and the guest houses are upstairs but well worth it as they are kept tidy. There's also a kitchen access with basic functionality so that's a bonus. Also there are a lots of cats and kittens around the property (++bonus). Will book again!

Be aware that there are many stairs. The host kindly carried up my luggage.
The room was cute, small, but comfortable. I had a private balcony and access to a back terrace. There is a shared kitchen for boiling water, making food if you so inclined, or keeping things in the fridge. The host was very helpful in making arrangements for activities. The location is great, within easy walking distance of restaurants, the waterfront, museums. Autos are easy to get on the main road.

A little away from the centre, but only 10 minutes walk.

We had such a pleasant stay. The location is really good and the bed was comfortable. Best thing: one of the best showers we’ve had so far. Great pressure and constant hot water. Very friendly and helpful owner.

Narrow flight of stairs up to carry suitcase and aircon control quite confusing. Felt a bit far to walk but around 12 min to historical areas...
Big room with balcony and nice view from top. Nice kitchen complimentary water and use of fridge stove etc. She also got no laundry washed for a reasonable rate

There is some annoyance with mosquitoes, but all the windows have mosquito nets, so the problem is minor.
Set back from the main road in an alley with views of the greenery of the place, rooms are very clean, wifi is working fine and the hosts are caring. There is a kitchen for guests to use, and drinking water. We enjoyed a roof-top room, with a cool breeze during day and night.

We arrived very early - 6:30am (had said this in advance) but the host did not reply to any messages / phone calls until 8am so we just sat on the terrace waiting. Bit frustrating considering we had said. Also the bathroom window was open so lots of bugs and very hot room.
Very convenient location and well priced. Host was very helpful and did laundry for us at a very good price.

My son and I stayed at Kevin's Placid homestay and found it really nice. The rooms were clean and cool. It has both an air conditioner and a fan. The shower was good and there was toilet paper, which is not something you always find. The place was clean, quiet and placed in a cute house in old Cochin. The landlady was very nice and helpful. It was a good place to start our trip in Kerala.

Nothing, there were no circumstances i would like to complain about.
This homestay offers a continuous high Quality of clean and well maintained rooms and shared facilities as there are kitchen and living room. Host family is communicating and acting polite and very careful and immediate. Clean Bedsheets, towels, matress, warm water supply in bathroom, clean and well equipped shared kitchen. My second stay was as satisfied as my first one one year ago. Close to this homestay many grocery shops for milk, eggs, bred, vegetables, and, if you dontblike to cook by yourself some nice and affordable food stalls for veg andvnon veg dishes only a view steps away.

It was very hot and humid in Kochi when I visited. I should have taken a room with air con at this time of year (end of June)
I liked the fact that I had the whole place to myself for most of the time. Towards the end of my stay a family was in the second room on my floor. they were nice and we chatted easily. I had a private bathroom in my fan room, with shared kitchen and shared lounge and balcony. Plenty of places to eat just outside on the road, and most of Fort Kochi is an easy walk away.

Didnt get any sleep due to all the appliances re-setting themselves after each power-cut. Which was every 20min.

Everything Spotless clean Friendly host Air conditioning excellent Wifi Excellent Kitchen and shared facilities are excellent and spotlessly clean. Drinking water Beautiful shared terrace and private balcony. Excellent area restaurants and shops. Highly recommend after 6 months travelling in India this was the best property.

Close to a lot of restaurants and sightseeing in the best part o Kochi. Calm area and easy to find. Good room with cozy balcony. Booked for two days, stayed for seven because we liked it so much
