IndiaWhile the service and location made the stay enjoyable, a few aspects did leave us disappointed: Rooms lacked ventilation, natural light, and any sort of view - which felt claustrophobic at times. No toothpaste was provided (a small but surprising miss). There was no provision to dry wet clothes after a swim in the sea or pool, which is an obvious necessity for a beachside resort. In terms of food, while the Indian dishes were excellent, other cuisines were mediocre. Pricing was inconsistent - for instance, a plain roti cost INR 40 (excluding GST), which felt excessive. The mutton biryani tasted good, but the meat was mostly bone with little flesh. There was also an uncomfortable sense that guests were being nudged into tipping. Even though nothing was said explicitly. It didn't spoil the stay but was noticeable.
Hotel Holiday Resort holds a special place in my heart. Formerly known as Sandy Village (that too a long time back!), this was a childhood favourite, a place that defined many memories for me. After a gap of nearly a decade, I returned with my wife, mother, and mother-in-law, and the experience was a beautiful blend of nostalgia and comfort. Location & Facilities: Situated right beside the beach, the hotel's location is unbeatable. The pool area is lively, there's a jacuzzi and a well-maintained spa, and two restaurants offer a decent range of options. The rooms are cozy, equipped with basic amenities, and the staff are impressively efficient and helpful. A special word of appreciation for Purnendu at the reception, who went out of his way to extend our checkout time by three hours, understanding the needs of our elderly companions. And Rabi and Kedar at the restaurants made sure we never had to wait for food - even at odd hours, service was swift and seamless. I would highly recommend Hotel Holiday Resort to anyone planning a trip to Puri. It remains one of the best places to stay, especially if you're looking for a beachside property with good service and a touch of nostalgia. I know I'll keep going back - for the memories, the warmth, and the sea breeze.

IndiaWe checked out on 5th June at 8.a.m. The behaviour of the lady receptionist was not acceptable. Though I had made an advance payment for the Deluxe cottage on 7th May, still the receptionist, without verifying, asked me to pay 21k. I said that I had paid the advance payment but she denied & asked me to check . I showed her the advance payment made. She verified from the staff that I had paid & the confirmation was already there with them & in the mail. She issued me the final receipt of the payment but didn't have the courtesy & decency of apologising. In fact, instead of handing the bill to me, she handed the receipt to the waiter , who gave it to me. This is the hospitality shown by your lady receptionist at Holiday Resort this morning at 8 a m. Such a type of hospitality was never expected from Holiday Resort, puri.
Sea facing, location, food quality was good but was distinctly high.

IndiaBreakfast inclusion option not there. You can order Ala cart at Gajapathi cafe there. I feel the air conditioning of Gajapathi cafe should be improved. It had some bad odour inside the cafe. wifi connection not good, should be improved. Check room views before booking. One have to go to Swargadwar area for local delicacy and marketing. While booking a cab through agency attached to hotel for local sight seeing, be careful when you pay to the driver online through Gpay. Make sure they have active Gpay account .Else pay in cash or pay at Hotel.
Easily accessible clean sea beach , swimming pool car rent service available in hotel . Puri station less than 5 min distance in toto/auto rickshaw. Away from the crowd of Swargadwar area. Toto stand nearby though they take higher price. Cafeteria is quite large , capable to accomodate 10-15 family members together for lunch and dinner. Food quality is good , but price slightly higher side. Free evening snack ( jhalmuri ) and tea at happy hour 5 pm to 6 pm was refreshing. Overall it's a very good hotel for pleasant stay away from usual crowd of Puri Swargadwar.

IndiaThe restaurant where the breakfast is served was very very slow and they had to reminded again and again. The room didn't had a window. The ventilaton was a issue. The fire emergency gate was open and there was no Watchmen on the fire emergency exist and anyone can enter from that into the rooms on the below floor without anyone noticing.
The staff was very welcoming and very helpful from the person on the gate to the person serving food. The food was amazing in the restaurant.
