I recently had the pleasure to revisit the Green Paradise Houseboat, and it was truly an unforgettable experience and each time gets more amazing than the previous one. Nestled in a serene location, this houseboat offers a perfect escape from the chaos of everyday life. Surrounded by picturesque lotus ponds, the natural beauty is absolutely enchanting. The infrastructure of the houseboat is top-notch, featuring comfortable accommodations with high-quality amenities. I was particularly impressed with the cleanliness and hygiene maintained throughout my stay—everything was spotless. However, the highlight of my experience was undoubtedly the exceptional hospitality provided by Sajjad. His warm welcome and attentive service made me feel right at home. The food he prepared was simply amazing—each meal was a delightful culinary adventure, showcasing the rich flavors of the region. Our family, including an infant, found the houseboat exceptionally comfortable and pleasant. We received excellent care throughout our stay. Mr. Sajjad was exceptional and was available all the time for any kind of help and support.

There is absolutely nothing anyone can dislike about this place

In one word, "Jannat" on earth. This house boat is a true mix of lip smacking food, hygiene, brilliant ambience, serene view, quite surroundings and absolute comfort! Sajjad is a blessed with magical hands, all the food he touches, turns into aromatic, delicious food. He serves local cuisines and/ or dishes of your choice and takes care of every guest like his own family. The owner of this house boat, Shaik Saab owns a travel agency and he is excellent at travelling convenient and budgeted stays through Kashmir and Ladakh. We will definitely visit this place again to enjoy serenity at its best

Sometimes there is a power cut but the house boat has generator so no worries.

Great experience at houseboat with central heating and best customer service from Sajjad who looked after my special requests many times. The houseboat located away from the crowed that is good for quietness and selfreflection times. Food is very tasty and yummy. Loved the experience and would come again.

Hospitality provided by green paradise was excellent. Sajjad is an excellent cook and made us a variety of dishes every other day and put his heart into it, taste was outstanding. Firdous, our shikara guy was extremely patient and gave us the tour of whole dal lake and never hurried about anything, he also has good knowledge about the markets in dal lake. Owner (sheikh sahab) was extremely friendly and treated us like family and went out of his way to help us not only regarding the houseboat but also regarding our whole trip forward. Location of the houseboat is at a serene, calm place overlooking lotus plants. Will definitely recommend it to everyone and will come back for sure.

There are lots of houseboats on Dal lake but “Green paradise houseboat” stands out amongst all and is indeed a paradise. True to its name, it is set amidst a greener, secluded and serene part of pristine Dal lake, tucked away from the crowded houseboats near the main road. The wonderful and gracious host, Mr Sheikh Ahad welcomed and made us feel at home right away as we set foot on the houseboat. The houseboat offers an unparalleled view of the distant mountains with its reflection in the water. As you watch the shikaras passby with local birds chirping on the grass, surely you will be mesmerised. The houseboat has signature kashmiri wood work and is clean and well maintained. It has central heating in each room which made our stay comfortable as the temperature dipped especially in the evening. Food was awesome to say the least, prepared by chef Mr Sajjad, who is so softspoken and gentle. He served us most popular kashmiri wazwan rista, gustava and kebab which was finger lickingly tasty. He was so caring and made pots of tea whenever we requested while we enjoyed and absorbed the unmatched beauty of the nature especially the sunset and sunrise, sitting on the sofa. Shikara ride by eversmiling Mr Firdous was so soothening. The entire team headed by Mr Sheikh Ahad were so cooperative and helpful which made our stay so wonderful and rejuvenating. I highly recommend this houseboat which will definitely leave good memories. We had an unforgettable stay on this luxurious houseboat, I cant wait to visit again and relive the hospitality.
