Renjith arranged a seamless pick-up from the airport at 4am and he was there to greet us at 4.30. Breakfast is really good and sets you up for the day. We both really enjoyed our stay there. The swimming pool was one of the cleanest I've ever been in the water is fabulous. As explained it is a little remote but worth it for the peace and quiet.

Had such a lovely experience here The hotel is like a home from home I’ve had wonderful Ayurvedic treatments from Ragini , super breakfasts cooked by Omana and super service from Adul too The pool is beautiful under the palm trees and is filled with filtered water from their well all powered by their solar panels Murigan, the hotel owner is just great- as a lone traveller in my sixties felt really safe in his hands- nothing is too much trouble for him to arrange and he has a great sense of humour Came away so relaxed from my stay at this little oasis by the lake, just a Tuk Tuk ride away from Kovalum beach, the most lively and cosmopolitan seaside resort I’ve ever visited in India. Shops , bars and restaurants make this the easiest beach for and Europeans to visit .

Peaceful location, good pool and staff.Had great walks around the lake and a good massage.The road to Kovalam was awful and lack of any other local food was a drawback. The room was large and clean although the bed was too firm and could do with coffee and tea making facilities in the room. Although I had a balcony with good lake views, this was not attached to the room but accessed via a common room .Did enjoy my stay and would return

The property is reached by a very bad road. There are many holes in it as these local roads are supposed to be maintained by the water authorities, and they do not do any work on it. The trip to Kovalam beach, Lighthouse beach et cetera is always a bit of a trial as you are bumped along it every time you need to go out for anything. I would say it’s worth the effort as the location is so tranquil and away from the madness that is now. Sadly, Kovalem beach.

Amazing location, surrounded by wildlife a huge lake and the Tranquility of a quiet backwater and a rural Indian neighbourhood. To be able to watch the fishermen and farmers going about their daily tasks, and the quiet of the location was a winner. The in-house Ayurvedic female massage practitioner was one of the best I have ever had, amazing. The swimming pool was a lovely added bonus and complete relaxation was exactly what this place does best. Super clean and had no problem with mosquitoes. I would most certainly recommend this and may return myself.

Mattresses in ground floor rooms are quite hard. Location is a little difficult to find, along some windy lanes. Some tuk tuk drivers in town are unfamiliar with address/directions.

My family and I stayed four nights here, over new year, and found it comfortable and relaxing. We purposely chose somewhere away from the noise of town, but convenient enough to get there. A tuk tuk is about 200 rupees to the town/beach (300, coming back after 10:00pm). My children shared an upstairs room. My girlfriend and I had a ground floor room but the mattresses downstairs are much firmer (fine for me but my girlfriend couldn’t sleep), so we were moved upstairs after our first night. The pool is lovely, the location is relaxing and tranquil and breakfast on the roof terrace, overlooking beautiful scenery is a lovely way to start the day. I had a plate of fruit and a masala dosa each morning. The owner, Murugan, is quite a character: welcoming, helpful, and will do his best to address any issues you might have.

Only a single sheet on the bed - could use an extra blanket or two. Breakfast was great, but no other walkable options. We did get some groceries and were able to do better after a day or two.

Great suggestions for local walks, organizing transport and Ayurvedic services. Beautiful and calm setting. Lovely pool.

After a couple of weeks of hectic traveling on my first solo trip, I was stressed and ready for some much-needed relaxation. This hotel turned out to be exactly what I needed at the right time. The property is spotless, and the staff are genuinely pleasant and helpful, always going the extra mile. I had two massages/treatments, both of which were excellent. The same-day laundry service was incredibly convenient, and the staff also arranged a rickshaw for my trips to the beach, which made exploring stress-free. The pool was well-maintained, and the environment and scenery added to the calming experience. I left feeling relaxed and recharged. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat.

Comfortable rooms (firm mattresses as others have said, but we slept well). Beautifully quiet spot, 350r for a rickshaw to Kovalam beach was a small price to pay for the tranquility. We will definitely look to return. Not one mosquito bite between the 2 of us in 3 days.

Ganesh Ayurveda Bed and Breakfast was a lovely relaxing hotel set in the beautiful Kerala countryside just outside Kovalam. Murugan, our host, was very welcoming and attentive and did all that he could to make it an enjoyable healthy holiday. He arranged some amazing Ayurveda treatments for my partner and myself, and it was good to swim in the pool and relax in the sun! Breakfast was hearty and delicious, fruit followed by dosa, with choice of drinks. Many thanks for a wonderful holiday.

Gorgeous place in a stunning rural setting and just a tuk tuk ride away from the vibrant beach area. The room was spacious with a/c and hot water; the staff were really kind and helpful. We had massages which were really good. The swimming pool was fantastic. Do take a walk around the lake area as it’s really beautiful.

Ground floor rooms look over pool as they are not high enough to see unrestricted view of lake. Need to go into town on evening to eat.

This place is an absolute must if you want to be away from it all and want reasonable priced excellent Ayurvedic treatments. Manager is wonderful and arranges airport pickups, Tuk Tuk rides and anything else you may require. Located next to a lake with good walking routes. Local village surroundings, but a 10 minute Tuk Tuk drive to beaches. I will go back

The isolation and tranquillity of this holiday home is exceptional, booked it on the back of tremendous ratings and we were not disappointed. The staff were wonderful, the accommodation is a genuine 3***, breakfast, whilst simple was adequately good, and the pool a welcome relief at times. The owner, our host was so obliging and helpful, we will return!

Haggling to get a tuk tuk back from the beach after 10pm. Good to arrange pick up in advance with the resident tuk tuk driver.

It is on the edge of a lake, covered with purple flowers depending on the time of day and water levels. The dichotomy of wealthy (empty) vacation homes and tiny traditional villages is interesting to experience. The villagers are very sweet and children come from the houses to greet passersby. The pool is very clean and a rooftop terrace is a nice place to have breakfast, write, relax and do morning yoga. We had some great Ayurveda massages and the owner had a group dinner prepared for us one night to share with the other guests. Many don’t like the distance to the beach, but we appreciated being out of the hustle and bustle of Lighthouse Beach. NYE we moved to the beach with bus loads of people coming in from the country…we may be regretting our change. Murugan, the host, is an Indian Mr. Roark and will do everything in his power to make your vacation comfortable.
