How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Food was okay, chef can be better dinner was 3/5 and lunch was 4/5. But overall okay to eat
The place is located at a very beautiful place, you can walk in the beach park in the night, closer to the sea and good breeze.

The RO water smell needs to be looked into In the bathroon while using the flush system a fiul smell
Right from the time of booking on line/phone we had a very good and very satisfactory interaction with the Hotel Staff, especially Mr Mohan On arrival good reception and courtesy behaviour of all staff members all along gave us confidence On a daily basis good interaction with the staff members made us carry a good memory of our stay in Hotel Fortue The Food served in the Restaurant was excelent Over all very good, especially interacting with Mr Mohan

Doesn’t take international credit cards and no hot water. Internet was intermittent. TV didn’t work.
Large room with balcony and good value restaurant on the seafront within walking distance of the town. Clean and comfortable.

The toilets - while they are clean and well maintained, the leakage issue had to be fixed twice. Yet, they did attend to it immediately
Food was good and the staff were courteous. Mohan at the front desk was very courteous and accomodating. Overall a nice experience and would ask people to go there

Had requested for extra bed and they provided. They missed to provide towels, soap etc for the extra bed. We didn't have time to follow up, as we had just the night stay there.

Not very happy about the reception staff, we’re asked for the advance payment and then given a room which was right behind the staff toilet which were stinking and we were not able to open the windows because of it. The staff didn’t change the room after we reported this saying that we had seen the room. Paid extra for the child but were told that if we wanted a bill will have to pay more for it

Location is about 1 km from the temple, so need an auto with elderly people. On the plus side, we were able to park tempo traveller because of this and hotel helped in arranging the autos
Very large and well maintained rooms. Hotel gave us contact of a panda Mr. Lenin Mutthaya for the mani darshan and rudra abhishek Puja and courtesy him, we had such an excellent darshan!! Thanks a lot for the reference. The hotel also has a beautiful view of the sea from the terrace

Paid 55K for 2 nights for a Siddha suite and deluxe room, was expecting wow factor and also we were out of options. The suite had faded tables and the Seaview is not great(which is their main selling point). We had to ask for the extra bed to be put on a foldable table. The hot water didn't work either. The Hotel forced us to book through Booking.com, which was more than 4 times than the normal price. Booking.com is taking advantage of travellers and enabling hotels to charge crazy rates. Government should look into this and have caps. Would not recommend that guests pay such astronomical rates. The Hotel manager, Mohan was not able to share the correct wifi password with me and had even shared my number with a cab agency without my consent (who repeatedly called me to check if I needed transport). How can this be allowed??

Avoid this place as it's plagued by scams. The hotel's primary intention seems to be exploiting customers. Although the room was spacious, it had a persistent unpleasant odor. Contrary to their claims, there's no sea view, yet they charge exorbitant rates for a 'sea-side hotel.' The biggest rip-off is their food service. During peak season, they charge outrageous prices for burnt, undercooked, and subpar meals.
