I had an incredible stay on a houseboat on Dal Lake in Srinagar. The boat was beautifully maintained, with all the modern amenities you could need, yet still captured the charm of traditional Kashmiri decor. The peaceful surroundings and stunning views of the lake and mountains made it a truly special experience. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious, featuring authentic Kashmiri dishes. It’s a perfect getaway for anyone seeking comfort, tranquility, and a unique way to experience the beauty of Kashmir. Highly recommended!

Stay was extremely nice and the staff was extremely helpful and professional. The room and bathroom were neat and free from any issues. The most impressive thing was the staff and management was keen and immediate to resolve any concerns I had .

I think there couldn't be a better place to stay than this. My family and I didn't feel that we were out somewhere. The décor, the cleanliness, the treats, the space, everything was perfect. If we get a chance again, we will again and always choose FAVELA

I stayed at this property for one day and it’s really a beautiful place to stay. The place is near to Dal Lake and you can have the experience of a house boat. This property is very clean and newly built which has attached bathroom and washroom . I would definitely recommend to stay at this property.

My stay at Favela Houseboat in Srinagar was truly delightful. The host and their family were incredibly warm and caring. They made me feel right at home. The food was delicious and homely. The ambiance of houseboat was both beautiful and relaxing. With neat and cozy room at an affordable price, it’s perfectly situated in the heart of the city. Highly recommended and worth for the price!

Can't complain.

It's a nice place to stay. Host is really helpful. He could arrange anything for you whether it's a Shikara or a taxi for local sightseeing. Definitely go for this place.

I couldn’t stay more long in that room.

Whenever I travel to Srinagar we often do like to stay in Dal Lake. As we found this property new in the booking.com and viewing I thought to go for it. While arriving at the Property our co host Mr Fayaz greeted us and offered a Fresh Juice in this hot weather. And afterwards we checked in our booked room which was impressive and astonishingly decorated. Linen sheets on the bed were clean and tidy. Bed was comfortable. This resort is located in the heart of Dal Lake called Golden Lake. Sunset was so mesmerising and even the sunrise too. Ordered In House Food was tasty and good in quantity. I would be definitely staying again in this property with my family in my upcoming family trips.

The staff was exceptionally welcoming and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. From arranging local tours to providing detailed information about the area, their hospitality truly stood out. The delicious, home-cooked meals were a delightful bonus, giving us a taste of authentic Kashmiri cuisine right on the boat. The houseboat itself was beautifully decorated, combining traditional charm with modern comforts. It was clean, well-maintained, and provided a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. We loved spending our evenings on the deck, enjoying the tranquil surroundings and watching the sunset over the lake. I highly recommend this houseboat to anyone looking to experience the beauty and tranquility of Dal Lake. Everything was good.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Favela Headrooms and Group of Houseboats on Dal Lake. The setting is incredibly serene and offers breathtaking views of the lake and the surrounding mountains. The houseboat itself was charming and well-maintained, providing a perfect blend of traditional Kashmiri decor and modern amenities. The staff were incredibly hospitable, going above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. They provided delicious home-cooked meals, which allowed us to experience authentic Kashmiri cuisine. The boat's location also made it easy to explore the local markets and attractions. I highly recommend staying on this houseboat for anyone looking to enjoy a unique and peaceful experience on Dal Lake. It's a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Even 1 Staff not available to carry luggage at checkout, no one bothered, taps freezed with no hot water, no electricity at most times, Small Room Heater was charged extra Rs 1000/- which was also not working due to voltage and electricity issues. Shikara Ride was overcharged. Heater Charges Also not mentioned before Booking.

Host was available at most times for help.

BEWARE. These guys are a joke and embarassment to hospitality. The moment i got there, I wanted to leave Kashmir asap. First they will ask u to pay advance even before coming here and settle full amount upon check in! I understood why the hard way. The room i got had the shittiest dirtiest view possible, nothing like in the pictures. It was also attached with their room next door, and the moment u get in, they will tell u the rules: no slippers in the room and no alcohol. The welcome was cold and the vibes were like i was a female student staying in a hostel with a strict overbearing family nxt to my room. Despite me coming from so far away they did nothing to make me feel comfortable but instead tried to push the touristic shikari and taxi services to me. If ur paying for the cheaper room, they will do their best to extort more money from you during your stay - from charging rs50 for a water bottle, Rs100 for bread&tea, and rs300/night for a room heater..to arranging an airport pickup for rs1200. And beware most of the time, they will not tell u the costs upfront but after providing the services. There is no wifi in the cheaper room, although the old man will try to fool you with some excuses about why he can't give u the password right now and to use his hotspot. I only learnt the next day that wifi is in the bigger boathouse thats more expensive, and i had to go there to get Internet access. If u dont have a kashmir SIM yet this will be very inconvenient. They also have a menu with ridiculous prices for basic items like rs280 for a few cucumbers and tomatoes. They offered me food after a long flight, in the most homely nicest way, (convincing me its too late to eat outside across the river from them) and offered to make me egg, but when i sat down for dinner it was just rice and dal and those cucumbers & tomatoes.
