Bathroom had no place/ hooks/ bar to hang towels or clothes. On the vanity as well. Seemed bare

It was basic, was buffet but all servings were empty. Maybe there were not many guests. They said we dis not book ‘breakfast included’ but I had. This was the first morning. We clarified later at the reception and they confirmed we had breakfast included in the package. The next morning we were told yet again that breakfast had to be paid for. Annoying!

Room 408 had water seepage marks on the walls with salt formations around it. Not expected at all.

On the main road, rooms were quiet, parking was also available.

The single restaurant has limitations on food and drinks but when you are in Amritsar, that is not a bad thing. The city has such a rich food culture.

The hotel is in the heart of Amritsar. The Golden Temple is about 15 minutes away by rickshaw, as are Jallianwala Bagh, Partition Museum and the Gobindgarh fort. The Attari-Wagah border is about 40 kilometres away, as it is from anywhere in the city, so no disadvantage there either.

Everything was good. Wish there was stay for the driver in the hotel and the room service was more prompt.

Neat and close to central city. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were also upgraded for the one of the room. That was great and a pleasant.

Front Desk was absolutely snobbish and lethargic . Check in is at 1400 and we were given room at 1445 after a wait of over 40 minutes and after several assurances that room will be ready in 5 minutes . The female executive at reception was more attentive to phone calls rather than attending to people waiting to check in which was already delayed. Extremely unfriendly and no for courtesy to those staying in the Hotel. When asked a question she would happily keep chatting on phone ignoring you . My card was charged 1 day ahead of check in though Booking said pay at the Hotel I asked this executive and she said that they dont have any control and it has been charged by booking.com .My Electronic Key card was discharged and I already went down to reception but was fixed by someone upstairs with a master key. It happened again and I found the reception guy probably a trainee upstairs and asked him to help me but he said I should go down to reception to have this fixed . I asked HIM to run down and bring a new recharged key which he unwillingly did. I went to the restaurant for Dinner late @ 10 15 PM and ordered some food. After some time I was told that what I ordered is not available. So I had to walk out . No Hair Dryer in the room as stated. The Silver lining is that the Manager or Owner (probably ) were extremely good .

The gym wasn't easy to access as when I made a trip to it, the door was locked. I was told if I informed the staff that they would open it, which seemed too much of a bother. The lack of a mirror in the room was also a major issue and not enough toilet rolls, in addition to the toilet seat lid being broken and the shower mixer not working well. On day two not enough towels were provided.

WLAN doesn’t work until you complain and then a modem was installed in the room. I felt forced to get an upgrade on one of the rooms to ensure that me and my friend had rooms on the same floor.

Hotel was advertised as having a pool and sun terrace but on arrival we were told that these were not available due to planned maintenance work. As I had booked this hotel because it was listed as having a pool this was disappointing. Breakfast was charged extra and was fine but was very late being served on our last morning when we needed to leave in good time. We walked from the hotel to the main tourist areas on several occasions but the roads were quite dangerous.
