How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

It is a bit noisy during the night due to the location but not a major problem for a couple nights stay.
Really nice Homestay to stay in Kochi for a few nights. The owner is super friendly and always ready to help with anything you might need.

It's not a criticism, maybe it's a bit far from the center on foot, 20 minutes, but it's nice to walk and get to know the town.
The owner helped us with everything. We arrived at dawn and he helped us find a taxi that came to pick us up and he waited for us to receive us. He helped us find tours. Very friendly. The room was very comfortable.

I had a wonderful stay at CL Dreams Homestay during New Year. The host, Sunil, was incredibly welcoming, allowing us an early check-in around 9 AM. He even took one of us on his two-wheeler to explore and familiarize ourselves with the local area and attractions. He also arranged a parking spot for us, which was very convenient. The room was clean, well-maintained, and featured a comfortable big bed, hot water, and amenities like towels and an extra bed. It also had a lovely balcony, though being on the second floor might pose a challenge if you have heavy luggage. The homestay is situated in a peaceful area, yet just a short auto ride from the main spots. They also provide a shared kitchen, perfect for making tea or a quick snack, and there's a vending machine on the ground floor for added convenience. Overall, it was a great experience, and I’d definitely consider staying here again for my next visit!

We had a great time at the homestay!! the host was great and helped us out a lot with booking and recomending activities. Leaving our baggage at the homestay and showering although we had already checked out was no problem on our departure day. The rooms were spacious and clean and all the tourist sights were either in walking distance or reachable with a quick tuktuk ride. Overall it was a great experience will definately book again when visiting kochi!

It is best for the price, one of the cleanest place I found in India. More than anything the host were amazing. They were very sweet and hospitality was top notch!!

Location is right in Fort Kochi with a lot of things to see closeby. Mattress is very comfortable, room clean. The owners of the hostel were the best. I had food poisoning and they took me in, brought me crackers, electrolyte drinks, tea and checked on me regularly. They truly looked after me which made me feel safe.

Very kind and lovely hosts, comfy beds and a very good working quiet AirCon. Also pleasant is the shared kitchen for your coffees and teas. would recommend this place!

Location on busy Jawahar road is not bad, but not in the middle of the historic Fort area. The apartment is on the top floor of the building and heats up considerably during the day. The advantage is that it is quiet. It is more a place where you rent a room.
The room was comfortable. Facilities such as the shower and WiFi worked well. Water bottle is complimentary. There is a small kitchen with a watercooker, a table and chairs, container with drinking water. You can make tea or coffee here (no stove) and prepare something to eat. Friendly helpful manager. Security is good

CL Dreams Home Stay is 100% recommendable. The hosts were extremely nice and generous and their top priority was that we are happy. Could easily extend another night, everything very uncomplicated. The rooms were very very clean and we felt very comfortable and safe.

We highly recommend the CL dreams homestay!! We had auch a pleasant stay! At first we planned to stay for 3 nights, but we ended up staying even two nights longer because we liked Kochi so much and felt so comfortable at the homestay! The room was super clean, we could use the kitchen, make some tee and were even provided with free drinking water :) on top, and that is actually the most outstanding point: Sunil and his family were the most lovely people and best host family one could wish for. Sunil would always be there for us, would help us with everything and was just super nice ! This recommendation really comes by heart and we will come back for sure ! 😊😊
