I stayed at Bastian Homestay from 19th to 22nd August, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. The hosts were super friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything I needed. The room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, making my stay feel just like home. What I appreciated most was how safe and secure the place felt throughout my stay. It’s the perfect spot for anyone looking for comfort, cleanliness, and genuine hospitality. I would highly recommend Bastian Homestay to anyone visiting the area and will definitely be coming back again soon!

We traveled from Kathmandu to Kerala, and this was our first place to stay in Kochi. The property is run by a lovely couple who are incredibly sweet and polite. I feel bad for forgetting the name of the man, but I’ll never forget his kind gesture he gave us Nepali currency because someone had asked him to hand it over to a Nepali visitor. That moment truly reflected the humility and kindness of the people here. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the place made us feel completely at home. Thank you for everything❤️🙇‍♂️

I stayed at Bastian Homestay for one week and had a truly great experience. Ginni and Bastian were wonderful hosts – very kind, helpful, and always available when I needed assistance. They helped me organize tours and taxis with reliable local contacts, which made planning my activities very easy and smooth. My room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, just what I needed to relax. I especially enjoyed the Kerala-style breakfast, which was different every day and always super tasty – definitely one of the highlights of my stay. The whole experience was absolutely worth the money – great value for the service and hospitality I received. Thank you again – I’d happily stay here again next time!

The best thing about Bastain Homestay was our lovely hosts. They were able to organise every activity we wanted using their local connections so that everything went seamlessly! The room is clean and simple but great value for money. It is about a 10min into the city centre which is fine but there are other places you can stay that are right in the middle of fort kochi if that's more what you are looking for.

Bastian and Gini were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was excellent and freshly prepared each day. The homestay is walking distance to main sights in fort kochi. Rooms are basic, clean, and comfortable. Would definitely recommend and return here; Bastian’s is a great base for exploring Kochi.

The breakfast was lovely! You could choose between continental and "traditional Kerala", we tried both and they were very pleasant. The room was clean and over our expectations. The hosts were lovely and gave a lot of great suggestions of activities to do while in Kochi. The location of the Homestay is perfect, close to restaurants, beach, cafes and shops. We also tried the yoga that they recommended and it was good both for beginners and more advanced participants.

There was a strong smell of insect repellent in my room that bothered me somewhat. The fan in the room made a strange sound and it was not possible to have it on during the night due to the noise.

Nice place with really friendly hosts who helped me when I had some problems to get money from the atm. The room was clean and sufficiently furnished. The local breakfast was yummy and very good value for money.
