Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyThe guest house is immersed in a fresh and colourful garden. The room is simply amazing. It's super spacious and clean. The washroom is clean and well equipped. The host and the team are welcoming and always ready to give support without being annoying. We wished we could stay more than one night. Consider to spend more time to relax in the garden. Badnor House is located 10 mins far from the bus station in Ajmer. The bus takes 15-20 mins to reach Pushkar (way cheaper than any other means of transport). Usually it departs from bay 21 or 22. You can buy tickets at the bus station. Moreover, Badnor House Is no more than 10-15 mins from Ajmer train station by tuktuk. We had breakfast and we asked for some sandwiches to go for the train trip. Highly recommended!

IndiaBadnor House in Ajmer is a beautiful and calm heritage home, perfect for a peaceful stay. The place exudes old-world charm, with a serene garden that adds to its beauty. Kishan is a wonderful host—always welcoming and ready to help with anything you need. Far from the noise of the city, this is truly one of the best places I have ever stayed in India. Highly recommended for those looking for a quiet and authentic experience!

Stepping out of the chaos and noise of India into an oasis of calm. The garden rests the soul. The layout of the garden and the rooms is to be admired. The attention to detail in the fittings and fixtures, most especially the bathroom were high end design. For once it was a pleasure to shower without wetting the whole room!. The breakfast was balanced and suited to our requests. There was even fruit supplied which again is in short supply elsewhere, despite it growing everywhere. Staff were unobtrusive but always available. Kishan seemed to somehow glide through his duties almost floating on air! Sanjay the aristocratic owner was keen to impart his wide knowledge of everything india and even gave us a magical tour of the grounds of his old school. Eton but with sunshine. By

IndiaLiked everything. Guests must note that this is truly an authentic Homestay - not a Guest House or Hotel. So please don't be unreasonable, do read about the facilities/services and then decide. For those travellers who enjoy homestays - go for it.
I wanted an authentic homestay (not a hotel). Badnor House met the requirements. 1. Kind & caring host - Mr Sanjay. . Willing to help, share his knowledge and suggest pragmatic sightseeing. 2. Nice staff. 3. Clean and well equipped room. 4. Environmentally friendly - solar heated water. 5. Small garden to sit and relax. 6. Good location and still so quiet.

FranceIt doesn’t happen often, but everything truly was amazing!
Wonderful haven in the middle of the city! Badnor House has a very beautiful garden. The room is very well equipped and has beautiful furniture and decorations. Everything is extremely clean, from the bedroom to the entire property, which is very well maintained as if it had been restructured just a few months ago. The owner is very nice and kindly provided advices about the city. The breakfast too was amazing -fresh, tasty and generous. The amount we spent is very reasonable as per the quality of the service. This property truly felt like a gem. We stayed one night and left regretting we didn’t spend the entire week!

BelgiumThe owner, Mr Sanjay is one of the best hosts we have ever encountered. He gave us a lot of tips and information about Ajmer, Pushkar and other places we wanted to visit. He was checking on us, regarding our trip even after we left his hotel. We highly recommend his hotel. You will feel like home. Also, the hotel has all the commodities and facilities you could have and as a plus, you are a bit away from the main road and his place is so peaceful you will plan to stay longer. If you are in Ajmer, this is the place to stay. You will thank me and Mr Sanjay trust me!

IndiaOnly breakfast is available at Badnor House. For any other meals you have to go out. The place is not close to anything particularly. But Ajmer is a small town, and it is easy enough to get an auto or walk (weather permitting).
The first positive impression of Badnor House was that the rooms looked exactly like the photos on the site. I'd called up Mr. Singh on our way to the place, and he was there to receive us. The room, the bathroom, the sheets, were clean and well organized. The rooms are in an annex to the main house, and a good breakfast is prepared in a kitchen in the annex. We specially liked the garden in front of the building, where local birds, including a Shikra paid a visit. It was a lovely relaxed place if you are looking for somewhere to spend a few nights in Ajmer.

United StatesThe only negative note is that they asked if I wanted breakfast without mentioning it would be an additional charge. They just asked what I would like for breakfast in the morning. I had just assumed it was included with the cost of the room. It was fine, and I probably would have done it either way, just the surprise of it showing up on the bill without talking about it before or mentioning that it would be an additional cost was not the best customer experience.
The room was comfortable and as pictured. Staff was very friendly. It felt safe in all ways. The outdoor area was very pleasant to sit in.

IndiaWe wish it was more than a B&B.
Badnor House is a pleasant and tranquil homestay/B&B. We booked them a night before directly through Mr. Sanjay who helped us book an extra room as well. The rooms are very spacious, cosy and light. The beds are huge and the linen is fresh and clean. There is plenty parking space available in case you come by car. It’s plenty easy to look for an auto just outside the hotel which takes you to the dargah in about 10 mins. You can order meals through swiggy/zomato. We loved the fact that the place was so green and planted with many different bougainvilleas around. They have birds, tortoises, fishes and a cute golden retriever named Trixie. The breakfast was simple and good the next morning and we left with a peaceful mind. Thanks Mr. Sanjay for your hospitality.

IndiaI recently had the pleasure of staying at Badnor House, a boutique-style accommodation in Ajmer, and I must say it was an absolute delight. From the moment I stepped onto the property, I was enchanted by its beauty. The garden was simply stunning, offering a serene oasis to relax and unwind. The rooms were beyond comfortable, providing the perfect combination of luxury and coziness. What truly stood out to me was the attention to detail in both the interior and exterior design. Every corner of the property seemed to have been meticulously crafted, creating a harmonious and inviting atmosphere. It's evident that whoever designed this place poured their heart and soul into it, as every aspect exuded creativity and thoughtfulness. Additionally, the staff was incredibly polite and helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable. Overall, my experience at Badnor House was nothing short of fantastic, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ajmer.

United KingdomCan't think of anything. It was the most comfortable place during our Indian tour so far. Definitely recommend.
Beautiful place, very clean and peaceful. It really looks like the pictures, or even better! The owner is very nice and passionate about Rajesthan history and heritage. We also recommend Ajmer walk with him if you want to get to know the town with the local. Walk also includes transit between sites so it is not only interesting but also not tiring even in hot weather.
