Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesI wish I could have stayed longer!
The apartment is centrally located in a safe neighborhood with many cafes and restaurants nearby. The room was clean, had fast wifi and featured a nice work station if you work from your laptop. It is a great value for your money and Ajay was a wonderful host that provided great insights on nearby restaurants.

This accommodation was an absolutely perfect, tailor-made solution for my needs, and I am very happy I found it. My mother was admitted to Hinduja Hospital, Mahim, for knee replacement surgery, and I required a place to stay within walking distance. The room was excellently maintained and equipped with all basic amenities. The property is conveniently located next to Mahim Head Post Office, making it easy to access. Please note that on-site parking is not available. However, if you arrive early (around 7 AM), you may find a few parking spots on the nearby inner roads. Overall, highly recommended for anyone seeking comfortable and convenient accommodation near Hinduja Hospital.

IndiaThe room is small and maybe it is our fault that we assumed we would be getting the bigger room based on the first photos of the property. The apartment has 3 rooms so ask which one you will be getting beforehand. The bathroom is even smaller, the shower head runs right over my head, I am 5'11'' so anybody taller would need to make adjustments. The bathroom ceiling is so low you can't fully raise your arms
Location is great. House is fully stocked. One of our friends caught a fever and I found a fully stocked medi kit. The kitchen is also full with all the things one could require. The room was small but very nice. Most of the windows can be opened so it is very airy.

United KingdomReally good location for where we wanted it be. Local market and traders close along with plenty of places to eat. Good security so as two females we felt very safe. The apartment has a small kitchen which you share with anyone staying in the other 2 rooms. You have your own en suite wet room. Beds like most is India have very hard mattresses! We would stay here again. Clean and comfortable and the communication from host was second to none including info on restaurants and step by step instructions on location of accom and access instructions.

Can't fault the apartment. It was cleaned regularly, had everything you could need for a comfortable stay, the area is buzzing with street food, restaurants and taxis to take you north/south.There are supermarkets nearby,a shopping mall plus plenty small clothes shops. The food outlet next to the entrance makes amazing Bombay toasties and an outdoor barbers is 90 seconds away.

GeorgiaThe accommodation was easy to find. The room was really comfortable for us 3. There was a really huge bed with fresh bed linens and an extra single bed. The bathroom was totally clean with an indian shower and nice hot water and fresh towels, Shampoo, soap and toothpaste. There was coffee and tea plus a water heater in the room. The staff was really friendly. The area is nice, directly on the corner is a small sandwich and samosa stall for breakfast.

FranceThe AC had some issues, though quickly fixed by our host. The entrance was a bit complicated, providing pictures to find it would be great.
Our host Ajay was flexible for providing payment options when checking in, that was appreciated. He also provided clear information on how to reach the hotel and was personally there to meet us when we arrived.

BelgiumExpensive for India standards as far as we discovered but Mumbai is one of the most expensive city in the world to live in, so it's totally understandable 🙏
The owner is very friendly and helpful. The comon area is small but has all the equipment you need, including filtered water. Would be great to have a couch or lounging space but i think there is no space for that. The apartment is in a very nice neighborhood with lots of shops and restaurants around, easy to walk around. Great place to stay to visit Mumbai. Close enough from the sightseeing spots, we took taxis to go visit the southern part. You can walk to the sea shore to enjoy the sunset.

United KingdomThe slight negative related to its location, as it could take to 45 to 50 minutes to travel by Uber to South Mumbai (train station/Gateway to India) where we spent a significant portion of our time sightseeing. This is because Mumbai traffic can be very busy and train options are limited until Metro opens. That said, I would still book again and accept this, as on balance staying at The Apartment was great!
"The Apartment" is a great ‘home from home’ when staying in Mumbai. It has everything you need both in the Apartment and within the surrounding area to have a relaxing stay. There is plenty of help and information available from the host who went out of his way to accommodate us with room upgrades and we had a great time staying there.

RussiaAs for the location: formally and geographically it IS the center of Mumbai, but it takes quite long to travel to the Gateway, the Fort and other historic places in Colaba (approx 30 minutes by taxi by night - no traffic; 60 minutes in the evening due to the traffic). Yet, it is rather close to the biggest malls of Mumbai. The beach nearby is really dirty. Don't waste time visiting it.
The apartment is really spacious, clean and rather comfortable. We checked in quite fast. The landlord gave us several recommendations on sightseeing, transportation, etc. IThe apartment is a room in a bigger flat with a shared kitchen full of necessary stuff. Our room had a separate bathroom, all facilities worked fine: hot and cold water, AC, tea-corner, a fridge, etc.
