Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe place is new so I think there are a few minor teething issues - the lighting in the kitchen area is too dark to see anything, bathroom also needs more light, we didn’t have enough hot water and there was not enough crockery for the four people staying (in fact for such a well appointed kitchenette, it didn’t have much equipment to cook at all like a saucepan or chopping board!) this didn’t really bother us but worth knowing for other people. there is no parking as it’s in the old city but there is a car park about 5mins walk away. however these are all solvable and it’s a great place to stay!
The location is perfect just in the old city with views of the city walls and sea. Siwar is a lovely host and can’t do enough to help you. the room was spacious and well renovated with all amenities we needed - it worked really well for a family for a short stay. the roof terrace is a lovely space too. I would definitely return.

RussiaI never thought this could be possible. Moreover in a hotel with such a rating, quite an expensive one. But the administrator of this small hotel (she said that she is also the manager and the owner) started breaking into our room from the balcony in the very middle of me and my girlfriend being together. Yes, you got it correctly. She could hear that pretty well (the walls and doors are thin). We told her that we are busy 3-4 times very distinctively and loudly but she went on knocking our door demanding that we send her immediately copy of our passports 15 mins after we entered the room (only God knows why she could not wait for half an hour). She said she will call the police when I came angry out of the room. I also said I will call the police. None of us did though. Later me and my girlfriend decided that there is no other way than staiying in the hotel until tomorrow for us unfortunately as we already payed. We decided not to argue with her anymore but to write our review here. I have to add that in the end she said she is 'sorry' but this does not really help if you want to know the truth. We did not feel safe in this place and will never come back. Also there was an electricity shutdown in our room in the morning so we could not use coffee machine or a teapot or anything. We are still shocked
The location within the old city of Acre is great. The room was pretty clean. Sea view from the balcony.

ItalyThe best possible location in Akko with a great terrace facing the sea and the sea wall promenade. Siwar Guesthouse is really close to all main attractions in the historical city center of Akko: the Templar Tunnel, the Bazaar, the Knights Hall and the service is impeccable. A place to come back.
