Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IsraelThe only thing I can actually think of which seems a bit nuanced is that I'd love it if the floor in the bedroom was wood or nicer floor tiles.
The hotel staff made the best impression, so nice, polite and welcoming, out right the best service I had. The hotel itself is lovely, the room was enough with a great bathroom (with adult size shampoo and shower gel bottles). The hotel had free drinks, beer, wine 24/7 with everything accessable at the terraces on the 4th floor. The bed was very comfortable and everything was very clean. The location is great, about 500 meters from the beach yet on a very quiet street. The hotel also has a deal with the parking next to it (20 meters maybe) so that was also nice. Breakfast was great, although a bit small considering usual breakfast size, we were full when we finished.

United StatesSome minor complaints about the hotel itself are that housekeeping seem to start a little earlier than I am accustomed to, around 0900 rather than 1000 as seems would be more convenient for most guests when they sleep in and then leave for the day (or at least, this is the usual starting time in American and European hotels). The bathroom sink also seemed a little insufficiently deep and wide for the space, so the water often splashed onto the countertop and sometimes the floor. It is appreciated that the shower did not cause any mess on the floor. ******** I do wish to add that the staff at Gili Café were very rude, certainly most of the young girls there. This café may or may not be affiliated with the Saul Hotel, as I also could not figure this out, either. You will know the staff is targeting you with their hostility when they suddenly act cold, passive-aggressive, and petty tit-for-tat. If they could roll back the camera footage to explain why exactly, that would be great. Then they still expected me to leave a service tip at the end of all this! It honestly gives the impression that Gili Café is quietly targeting non-Jews with deliberately unfriendly treatment that they do not show to their fellow Jews, so as to discourage non-Jews from eating here. Any non-Jew who bothers travelling to Israel obviously does not accuse Israel of committing "genocide," so have some gratitude if you won't have basic respect. Culture makes a place and whether it is worth your time and money to visit: I honestly encountered this bratty treatment from a lot of females throughout TLV (a very Leftist city that openly embraces moral filth), and I point this out here specifically because the cafe is in the Saul Hotel's lobby.
The Saul Hotel was perfect for my stay and quite worth the price. The staff are very helpful and will try to accommodate you as much as possible: they allowed me to stow a suitcase for several days while ravelling in another city before arriving in TLV; they let me use cutlery from the rooftop kitchen as my delivery did not have any; and they tried to grant me an extended check-out if possible per my late flight. Overall a very considerate and accommodating demeanour. As soon as I arrived, one of the front desk employees went ahead and placed my suitcase in my room on my behalf where I found a personally handwritten note to welcome me. Simple but very thoughtful and friendly gestures. Much like European hotels do, the Saul's room maximizes its limited space quite well, but somehow with a bit more substance. The bed was comfortable and not saggy, all of the linens were crisp and soft, and the bathroom shower conveniently had both a handheld and a waterfall shower head along with soap/shampoo/conditioner provided. They also had a retractable shade to keep out the sun when desired---all of these touches and accommodations but with clean, almost airy decor mixing practicality with eclectic Tel-Avivian artistry. Something to note is that they do not staff the hotel 24/7 like American hotels do under round-the-clock shifts (though they do lock the doors for guests' safety), and I think they take turns sleeping on the property overnight while not at the front desk, or maybe they are just on call. I was not entirely sure how they operated, but this is to be considerate of when you have a non-emergency request during the night/early-morning hours before they "open." I found the Saul's location to be convenient to nearly everything: the beach, cute cafés and nice restaurants, quick shopping, and some public transportation. When I didn't want to eat out, it was easy to use the popular Wolt app and meet the delivery guy downstairs.

Excellent value for money. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming — we truly felt at home. There's a lounge on the 4th floor offering free beverages, and even a happy hour with drinks and snacks, which was a pleasant surprise for such a small hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and again, the standout was the warm and attentive service. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return.

United StatesWarm, wonderful, friendly hotel. We sadly were robbed at the beach in Tel Aviv and the kind staff made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay more comfortable in a very, very stressful moment. Very accommodating and helpful. It's a wonderful quiet boutique hotel with a great breakfast menu in a terrific location. Would go back in a second.

Very pleasant boutique hotel in an excellent yet quiet central location. We loved the design and the overall vibe and were especially pleased with the breakfast and its lovely setting in the downstairs cafe. Nice restaurants, the Meir Park, Carmel Market and lots of Bauhaus gems are all within walking distance. Our room was small, but had a nice urban feel to it and was situated on the back of the building, which made it very quiet.
