Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandI didn’t know that it was full of Ukrainian living in the hotel.. the breakfast was a big let down.. very basic.. you won’t get a full fry up, not a rasher or pudding to be seen.. scrambled or fried eggs & sausages that were taste less..all the food was being taking away in containers by the Ukrainian people, to eat later on in the day.. you can’t be renting out rooms to people & charging full price, for a very basic breakfast, if you can get it.. One good thing about the breakfast..is that one of the staff, did go to the shop to buy me gf bread.. cause they don’t cater for coliacs
The location was central.. rooms were clean

Great location in the heart of Tralee town; staff were helpful and friendly, the rooms are basic but comfortable, breakfast was lovely with plenty of choices, and it was a good place to stay while exploring Tralee and Kerry.

Ireland- no hot options of food for breakfast - even fried eggs, porridge and sausages were cold - small familly rooms - location of shared fridge for residents at the main entry is not best option, visually it brings too much attention
The room was clean and tidy, but quite small. It’s suitable for just sleeping, but not ideal for spending extended time in. We stayed in a family room for four people, which had one small ‘double’ bed and a bunk bed—this left very little space around. However, the bedding and towels were clean and fresh, and the beds were comfortable. The location is practically in the heart of the city, which is a great advantage. There are various shops, restaurants, cafés, and parking spaces nearby, all within walking distance. Breakfast was served from 8 to 10 a.m. We arrived at 9:20, and while all the food was already displayed, everything was cold. It looked good but included cold fried eggs, boiled eggs, porridge, and sausages. There was only one type of hard sliced cheese and one type of sliced ham, with no vegetables or salads at all. The bread selection was limited to white and brown toast. The only hot items were tea and coffee. On the positive side, there were nice croissants and muffins to choose from. I understand that on a Thursday, there might not be many guests for breakfast and they may want to avoid wasting food. However, a better option would be to make hot items like eggs to order rather than serving them cold. In summary, the place was good for a one-night stay. The breakfast was decent, but it would have been much better if the food had been served hot.

IrelandThere is not that I didn’t like, just we could not get a family room, but it was not their fault. The room that we got was good enough for us and we stayed only for 2 nights. Other than that everything was fine.
The staffs are very nice and kind. Rogério was very helpful all the time.

IrelandLots of things not to like, I'm afraid. We tried to ring the accommodation a few times but there was no answer. When we arrived, the staff casually told us that they had put the phone on silent.. The bathroom was tiny. The room was also very small for a family of four. The worst thing was the beds. The bunk beds were quite cramped for our kids (the top bunk was closer to the bottom bunk than normal), and the main bed was definitely NOT a double bed. It was an unusual size, bigger than a single bed but noticeably smaller than a double bed. The breakfast was ok but all self-service. This is really just a large, overpriced hostel with 40+ rooms. We paid €180 for one night. Very poor value for money.
The room and bathroom were clean, and the location was excellent.
