Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandCould do with more Coat hangers,in Hall bedroom & bathroom. Lack of privacy in ground floor bedroom. Lower bathroom could do with shelving, only place to put bits & bobs was on high window ledge 🤭.
Everything.

IrelandWater in houses went cold on second day. One of lower ground toilets was a little smelly, but could be a plumbing issue? Not bad enough to notice in the house - only if in toilet. Check in and check out times were annoying as we travelled for 4 hours to get there and couldn't check in until after 4 and had to check out by 10am which was very early, especially considering we had to clean over ourselves - hard to pack up kids, food, clothes, cook & eat breakfast, wash up after and clean over whole house and expect to have keys back in hotel by 10am.
We loved the villas, the space, garden, cleanliness and layout etc. everything was there for our convenience. Bedrooms were stunning. Swimming pool and facilities in hotel were fantastic, infinity pool was amazing. Everything was clean and great. Staff in Doolittle were so friendly and attentive which is so rare these days. We will 100% be back.

IrelandThe only thing we had an issue with was the front door. We thought it was locked from the inside but once you turn the handle down it unlocks. Our 2 year old was able to open it and ran out. So if you have small toddlers just make sure you keep an eye on it or put a chair at the door to block them from getting out.
We booked in the hotel for breakfast. The food and services are very nice. We never waited too long like any other hotels we have been to. The staff are very welcoming and make you feel at home. The best part is the walk from the Villas to the hotel. About 10 minutes of walk through this beautiful forestry road with all the fresh air that gets you ready for the day. Once you finish your breakfast you can start your activities right from the hotel. Either do the walks yourself or you can go with the guided ones too. You get a map and timetable when you arrive which is very handy. I love that there is so much to do at your doorstep without having to travel further. Especially if you have young children (we have a 2 year old) it really takes away all your stress from getting ready and travelling further. We did at least one walk a day after breakfast and spent the rest of the time around the hotel or on the playground which is 2 minutes away from the Villa. My 2 year old had so much fun going through the woods or sitting in the water throwing stones and getting ice cream from the lovely lady in the coffee shop on the way back. My husband also spent a lot of time in the swimming pool both indoor and outdoor and loved all the walks in the woods! Another bonus point is the Nathalie's Pizza that comes every second day just outside the playground! They are so fresh and delicious. I highly recommend especially if you are a mom who needs a break from cooking but can also make sure your family are fed with nice and fresh food! This was easily the best holiday we had and really felt like a home away from home! We are looking forward to being back in the very near future!

IrelandThe equipment in the kitchen could have been better and there were some useful things missing such as a small sharp knife for preparing food. The shower pressure in one bathroom was also very poor.
Woodland Lodges were really lovely. In a beautiful location and lots of landscaping around the houses was lovely to look at. Houses were spacious with very good sized bedrooms.

IrelandThe beds were very uncomfortable (hard like a slab of rock) & they do not supply mattress toppers. They give you an extra duvet to put under you & even with one it was still uncomfortable. For a hotel of this level this is very disappointing. It would have been nice if there were hotel umbrellas in the villas to use going to & from the hotel. I was very disappointed that I was charged €2 per towel at the pool. This charge is for people in the villas & lodges. Finally, the bar food was subpar. I would have expected a much better quality from this hotel.
The location was great, very peaceful & only a 5 minute walk to the hotel. Options to walk through the trails or on the pathway. It was great to have such a big space in the Villa with the kids. The staff in the hotel were all very friendly & helpful.
