While we do our best to minimize disturbances, some noise is unavoidable given the location. Regarding pricing, our rates reflect the central location and amenities we offer. Dear Cristina, Thank you very much for sharing the travel experience with had with us and others here on Booking.com. We are very fortunate that our hotel is in a listed building however we do have to deal with certain planning restrictions one of which is adding an elevator to our property. Thank you very much for sharing the travel experience you had with the Gate Hotel. We are constantly trying to improve our service and provide the best experience possible for our guests. Customer service is a key aspect for us at The Gate Hotel and I am so pleased this was reflected during your stay. We are sorry you had an issue with a noise, but as we are located so centrally the noise is sometimes inevitable and out of our control. Also, our hotel is located above a late night pub which is advised on Booking.com when you are making a reservation. Perhaps next time you can request quieter room upon making a reservation and our reception team would be more than happy to assign you a room on a higher floor. We do however have complimentary ear plugs should any of our guests feel disturbed. We hope to see you back at The Gate Hotel, it would be a pleasure to host you again!
