Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

This little house is an absolute gem, much bigger than you’d expect on the inside and the decor is just fabulous, little curiosities everywhere you look! Just a five minute drive outside Wexford town and 2 minutes from Johnstown Castle (recommend the tour) it was a perfect location to explore the area and go to Waterford also. The beds were super comfortable, all amenities you need and we breakfasted in a nearby village called Killinick in a gorgeous farmshop cafe Karrow which we’d also recommend. We had the loveliest stay, definitely one for the memory book!

IrelandThere was very little not to like. A tad awkward getting in and out of the driveway but this was already called out on the description so no complaints. And limited television channels but again, no complaints, as this is a property to read a book, play board games etc. It was magical!
The property felt like our own for the 4 days. The most beautifully odd house you will ever encounter with hidden rooms steeped in history. Incredibly warm and inviting and Betty had left a very generous birthday gift and message for my partner. We were lucky to meet the host on our arrival as she was making sure the lights and heating were on for us. Beautiful touch.

United KingdomIt's not a dislike, but just for non-drivers to be aware that the nearest shop (Piercetown Londis) is 25 minutes walk away on roads that aren't terribly pedestrian-friendly (although it has a good selection of groceries), so plan ahead if you don't fancy that. Also, the Kilmore Quay bus does not reliably come into the Johnstown Castle grounds, so catch it in Piercetown if needed.
The house is even nicer than the photos, with plenty of space and very cozy and comfortable. I slept in the cute "attic" room and had really peaceful nights. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, etc. if you want to cook, and there's some really nice restaurants in Wexford Town. There's loads of sights within reach of the house (walking from the Quay to the Wildfowl Reserve is really lovely), but the house is also really nice for just lazing around relaxing. I had to work quite a bit during the week, and the wifi worked really well, even for an online meeting. The hosts are really lovely. I'll definitely return :)

Great location, situated no more than ten minutes from Wexford Town. Five minutes away from Johnstone castle and gardens if you fancy a nice walk. Great quirky property that has been excellently styled and is well worth the trip.

IrelandEverything was fantastic. Perhaps a DVD with a selection of DVD's as there are not that many channels but that is only my wish however it did certainly not take from the experience.
The Dolls House is a gem, so comfortable, warm, peaceful, clean, etc. Need I go on!!! It way exceeded any thoughts we had a photo do not do it justice. A perfect place for a night away or ideally more, very much home from home with everything you could want.

IrelandThe second bedroom is very small (with, however, a very comfortable bed), and you needed to use the space downstairs as your dressing room. But we managed it well.
We loved our weekend stay in October this year. The house was quirky, warm, cosy, and very interesting.
