Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

The warmest reception staff who I meet in my life. The welcome from reception was very warm. I feel like a queen arrived in the beautiful old charming house last Sunday. Our room was 228.I like the style of the good size room, separed bathroom. The room was very quiet. We sleep very good. Breakfast was lovely and the lady from the front door was very welcoming and very helpful. Beautiful location.I like the round swimming pool outside and of course the lovely jacuzzi outside is well. Well done. Definitely coming back.

IrelandI think breakfast could be much better with more options. Also, it would be great if there were some adult-only rooms/facilities. Even parts of restaurants could be kept for adults only, really.
The people working at this hotel are exceptional, and they made a difference to our experience. The hotel is lovely. Rooms are of good size, the outdoor pool is great, and the two restaurants offer excellent options. The grounds are superb.

IrelandMenu was a little limited in both restaurants and a little expensive €57 for a two course is steep. €7 for a pint was the most I've paid for a pint in all my travelling in Ireland. I wouldn't say you get 'Value for your money' with the food and drinks. Other than this everything was flawless. Just a small idea - Could do with a pickers for the sugar lumps for your tea/coffee.
Amazing Spa, Infinity pool lived up to expectations and the food was top notch. Really nice walking trails. Views are unmatched. Staff acted like a 5* Hotel.

United KingdomWe had a poor experience in the restaurant, the waiter seemed agitated that we’d been seated where we were and was quite dismissive- wanted us to order food before we’d ordered a drink. He then moved our table between starter and main course to accommodate a large party coming in. Once they arrived, his attention turned fully to them . After 30 mins with finished main course plates on the table we asked for the bill and left. At this point the manager did come over but the damage had been done really - it was my birthday and not what we had envisaged. We cancelled our reservation for the following night and ate in Sneem. I’d like to re-iterate that the rest of the staff at this hotel were super friendly and welcoming.
Lovely grounds with access to the sea for swimming and a nice spa/ outdoor jacuzzi. There were many trails to explore and activities on offer. Comfortable room, lovely staff, breakfast in particular was fabulous!

IrelandIn terms of our room, it was beautiful, I had booked the Mountain View room, but was quite disappointed with the view we got. We were located on the ground floor of the hotel, hence we didn’t see much mountains, as it was mostly just trees. The facilities in the room were ok, a few things worth mentioning was on some parts of the wallpaper it was tearing off the wall. Some of the furniture had a few scuff marks. I felt that the TV screen size wasn’t adequate for the distance from the TV to the bed.
The location was phenomenal, so beautiful. The staff were so attentive. From check in to check out, it was perfect. Breakfast was included in our stay, service was 10/10. I had the full Irish breakfast on the first day and the scrambled eggs and salmon on the second day. We walked one of the trails that they have to offer on their 500 acre property, absolutely stunning and well maintained. We dined in the Doolittle Restaurant. I had the featherblade beef, the meringue dessert and the sticky toffee pudding, both were delicious. The service was great and we weren’t waiting too long. The staff went above and beyond and were so helpful with everything.
