Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThere was nothing we didn't like!
We loved this family owned pub and hotel! We were able to drop our bags off with no problem. The building is a beautiful and in walking distance of all of the main areas we wanted to walk to. The pub was very busy with live music but ear plugs were provided and we really didn't have any issues with noise. It was nice to sit and have drinks with live music and then just walk upstairs. Alex O'Regan even made us a great cappucino in the bar whiile we waited for our early morning taxi.

United StatesWe stayed on a Saturday- so it was busy. This is exactly what we wanted, but I could see how for some folks they might not prefer this.
Antonia was great! The place was so cool. Our bed was very comfortable. No complaints! Also the breakfast is served at a lovely restaurant and so very worth it. Definitely get the breakfast!

United StatesNot a dislike just a reality, the top floor rooms were excellent but there are no elevators (lifts) so if you don’t like stairs then book a room lower down in the building.
Location and character it’s in the middle of everything. Rooms on the top floor were cool and nicely appointed. The hotel was very good about highlighting late week and weekend noise due to being in the social downtown area, frankly it was not that bad but if you are looking to go to bed at 9pm you probably should book somewhere a little way from the center of downtown.

United StatesIt took us a while to figure out how the room key worked in the door.
I was surprised that the recommended breakfast was in a French restaurant. So our first meal in Dublin was French. It was very good. The hotel and restaurant employees were helpful.

PhilippinesNone.
I had a wonderful stay at O’Regans in Dublin! The place is spotlessly clean and very well maintained, which made me feel comfortable right away. The location couldn’t be better—it’s so close to everything, making it easy to explore the city on foot. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with anything I needed. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend O’Regans to anyone visiting Dublin.

United KingdomWe didn’t dislike anything about the property. Excellent location, great atmosphere. There is no doubt you could hear noise from the street until the bars closed but I assume you would get that in any city centre accommodation.
We had breakfast in the sister French Restaurant. My husband said it was the best he’s had in a long time and passed that on to the chef. Plenty of food in fact too much for me.

IrelandThe hotel was great it is just that it is on a very busy street, and there was noise all night and very early in the morning (kegs being delivered in the bar downstairs being the loudest at 5am). Not ideal if you're a light sleeper. In all fairness, they did warn us about the noise.
Excellent location, friendly staff, beautiful and spacious room.

IrelandThis was our second time to stay at O’Regans. We loved our stay here as it is located in a very central part of Dublin. The staff are amazing and very helpful. The check in process was very easy and the rooms are clean and spacious. The building is outstanding and very historic. The bar downstairs is great for music and not too loud as we were supplied with earplugs.

United StatesI wish we had asked for a room on a lower floor, but with the baggage assistance, it wasn't much of a problem.
The location was great - among lots of clubs and restaurants. The staff was also excellent - we were on the top floor and needed help with our bags. We got help both going up and down the stairs. As they note, it is in a very noisy area. We were there on a Friday night and all the clubs were packed. Grateful that they provide earplugs - we did need them, though the noise quieted down at about 1am. The room was very comfortable and nicely decorated. The price for a room in Dublin on a Friday in August is very steep, so perhaps this was not a great value, but nothing else in the area was either. The pub downstairs was nice too.

United KingdomThe only problem was the shower didn’t drain properly, and you need to beware that there are a lot of steps to get to the rooms, neither of which really spoiled our trip
The property was in a fabulous location, close to parking and all the attractions of Dublin. The property was quirky and luxurious and the rooms contained everything you needed for a comfortable stay

IrelandOur room was probably smallest on offer and it meant person sleeping on the inside had to climb over the other to get out of the bed. Would look to stay in one of the larger rooms next time.
Right bang in the city centre close to everything. Clean and a very comfortable bed. Spotless bathroom. Reduced rate parking in Apoca Drury St very close by. Friendly, helpful staff.
