The Noise in the room for a considerable amount of time after flushing the toilet was really bad. More yoghurt selection - Plain yoghurt please.

Hotel is a bit tired in places. We had to wait over 10 mins to check in, no one was on the desk, not a great first impression.

Breakfast selection and hot food cooked to order. Room was very spacious, lots of storage too.

Laid back vibe. Lovely receptionist, gave us details of the "daily swim" at a nearby blue flag beach. She invited us to join them, my husband took her up on the invitation. He was welcomed into the group and was happy to have the locals advise on water depths etc..

Accessibility is a bit of an issue here. Not only because there is no lift to the rooms -- which isn't unusual in many smaller inns and hotels -- but there is also a labyrinth of fire doors that need to be opened and shut before you get to some of the rooms. Handling luggage up the stairs AND through so many doors is a bit of a pain in the butt. Wifi (lack of it) was also an ongoing issue. We were told it was because of the island location -- but wifi seemed reliable if you were in the pub/ restaurant so it's possible the hotel could do something better to boost signal for the rooms.

Though decor is a bit dated looking, our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. It was nice to have a seating area where we could settle in with a pizza and glass of wine at night after touring about Achill Island. Bed was very comfortable. Grocery store is a stone's throw from the hotel if you need supplies. Sights on Achill are an easy drive away. Lots of parking available at the hotel.

A fan in the room might have helped make it a little more comfortable given the unusual weather event, as it was very stuffy, even with the window open, though admittedly not something many guests are likely to experience regularly I wouldn't have thought.

The staff were welcoming and helpful and the breakfast was lovely. It was in a stunning location and my room was sizeable and comfortable, if a little warm, this said it was unusually hot.

View from the room... Hotel wasn't busy at all, but they gave us room with the view to the dirty wall.... We booked two rooms, paid in advance, bought were the same... There was plenty of free rooms with nice views... I'm traveling a lot,21 year in Ireland, second time in this hotel, but first time got that kind of room... Not smoking rooms have no sign .

Breakfast and dinner were amazing, beds very comfortable, nice and clean hotel , it was my second stay in this hotel.

I can't think of anything

The location was excellent. It was a great place to stay in March as there are not that many places open. We knew we could have meals at the hotel. Beds were comfortable and room very clean. We also liked the view. The staff were great, very friendly and helpful. I asked if they knew where I could buy some turf and they had a bag brought to the hotel! A hotel which the staff care about and are invested in. Nothing was too much trouble.

Nice pub where the food is good, the pints of Guinness are creamy and the views beautiful over looking Achill sound and the mountains. It is a nice traditional hotel, well located, I would recommend it and the bar staff we dealt with were lovely.
