Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SpainZero complaints!
Loved the place. Old-fashioned charm with lots of character, and rooms decorated to modern standards. Very clean and very comfortable. The location couldn't be better, right on the main street of Clon, and just a few doors down from De Barra's - although they have their own bar as well with regular music sessions. Family-run hotel, and everyone was really friendly.

United KingdomShort spell of noise from carpark at 6:00am both mornings of our stay - appeared to be caused by metal trolley being rolled about and removal of metal barriers. Apart from that, the location was peaceful.
Friendly welcome and interactions with staff, clean room, very comfortable bed.

IrelandNothing really that I didn't like. My only qualm would be perhaps a little green area on the first floor if your pet had to go to the toilet. My dog doesn't really like peeing on concrete, so even if there was a fake grass area it might make things easier. Also my parents room and my own room had a shower in the bath. Not sure if they had any bedrooms that just had a shower as this would make it easier for the elderly to have a shower rather than having to step into a bath, which my father would not be able to do.
The hotel staff were very obliging and accommodating. Gave excellent advice on where to go and what to do depending on your capabilities. I travelled with two elderly parents and a pet, yet they wanted to go places but not too far in a car, and the staff were able to accommodate. The bar had music that my parents loved. Everything was on their doorstep. They had a great outdoor area for pets and also on the first floor. Bed were also very comfortable the best I have ever experienced in a hotel. I wanted to bring my bed home.

AustraliaThe decor and ambiance really suit the hotel. Staff were very friendly, however, the breakfast staff ( lady) was excellent. Hotel might not suit all as it’s what we refer to in Australia as a pub!! I’ve never stayed in a pub b4 in Australia. Hitel was very central and no noise etc from the pub clients. Lift so easy access to rooms- rooms very spacious with facilities for tea or coffee ( no fridge )

United KingdomA warmer welcome at reception we could not have had. Rooms were lovely. Bottles of water provided alongside some tea/coffee & biscuits. A little tip though if you're travelling by car; there is a car park at the back of the hotel with room for about 6 cars which is accessed through a larger car park. Very easy to miss.

IrelandBREAKFAST FOR ME AS A COELIAC WAS A DISAPPOINTMENT (EVEN THOUGH I HAD GIVEN ADVANCE NOTICE ON THIS). ESPECIALLY AS I WAS IN CLONAKILTY I WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO GLUTEN FREE SAUSAGES & PUDDING ON THE MENU, SO I HAD 2 X FRIED EGGS & BACON WITH GF BREAD. I DIDN'T SEE ANY GF CEREAL, LUCKILY I HAD BROUGHT MY OWN! MY HUSBAND ENJOYED HIS FULL IRISH.
