How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

We had a fantastic stay! The breakfast was excellent, fresh, delicious and a great way to start the day. Mary was incredibly nice, welcoming and always ready to help with anything we needed. The entire place was clean and very well-maintained. The room was comfortable and cozy. We would definitely come back and highly recommend this place.

Différent choice for breakfast .the rooms are upstairs and there is a kettle with possibility to a tea or have glass of water with 3 différent choices of squash ( blackcurrent, orange or lemon) and a boxes of a huge variéty of cookies. Very warming and welcoming place. Ecofriendly environment ideally located to visit cong.

Fantastic location just out of cong. Beautiful village with good pubs and restaurants. Wonderful homely welcome, beautiful room with very comfortable bed and good shower. Lovely communal tea area to make a drink with lots of biscuits and snacks. Breakfast was amazing so much choice catered for all tastes. Host was so helpful, we had a lovely time.

Location was good. Accomodation was perfect. Breakfast was superb. Mary was a wonderful host. Couldn't fault anything. For any other Bed & Breakfast host out there getting poor reviews, stay at Mary's Nymphfield House and see how to provide first class accomodation and breakfast to you guests. Faultless.

We have been blessed with excellent B&Bs during our Ireland trip, and the Nymphsfield House is right up there with the best. Mary is such a wonderful host and very friendly. Our room was spacious, very quiet, and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was excellent, with several different choices. There is also a little shared coffee / tea area on the second floor. The surrounding grounds of this B&B are incredible, wonderful little gardens everywhere. This is a nice, peaceful place to stay just outside of Cong.

I’d a lovely stay here while attending a wedding. Very comfortable and clean room, bright and airy. Lots of little extras available for guests, water cooler, tea/coffee/snacks. I’m coeliac and there was plenty of gluten free options available at breakfast. Cereal, fruit, yogurts. Cooked breakfast was delicious! The owners were so lovely and friendly and even dropped me into Cong for the evening party! Would love to stay again : )

Location pastoral (which we preferred) just outside Cong. Would be a nice base to explore the region. Nice breakfast. Nice host. Plenty of parking space. Decent room size.

Fab stay in this lovely, homely B&B. Lovely comfy rooms and the breakfast was delicious! Would definitely recommend. Stayed for a friends wedding in Ashford lodge near by and it is just outside the gates so walking distance to Ashford and the village.

The water pressure in the shower was weak.
We liked almost everything;our bedroom was big and warm , very comfortable bed, good breakfast, good location, only ten minutes walking from the castle.The owner was pleasant and friendly. Thank you very much. 😘
