Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandWe recently stayed at this hotel and were left quite disappointed, especially considering it claims a 4-star standard. We arrived with an electric vehicle and went to reception to check in. The receptionist was noticeably unprofessional. When we asked whether there were any benefits for EV guests, she bluntly told us that charging is paid and that many people are surprised by that — a comment that felt inappropriate and unhelpful. I don’t mind paying, but asking about it shouldn't be met with such a dismissive attitude. We arrived around 7 p.m., hoping to use the pool and relax at the leisure center, only to be told it closes at 7:30 p.m. For a large hotel, this seems unusually early. It felt like we had missed out on a key part of the experience. Other small but frustrating issues added up: no dental kits in the room, the bar closing at 9 p.m., and overall a lack of attention to basic guest comfort. Breakfast was a mixed experience. The buffet itself was very good with a decent selection, but getting tea was unexpectedly difficult. You had to ask the staff — which is fine in theory — but we asked three times and still didn’t receive it. One staff member even came to our table, asked if we needed anything, and we had to repeat the request again, yet it never arrived. I’ve stayed in hotels with fewer stars that provided better service, more thoughtful amenities, and better value for money. Sadly, this stay didn’t live up to expectations, and I wouldn’t return.
The breakfast buffet had a good variety and was well presented.

IrelandThat breakfast isn't included in the cost of the room , it's really just too much.
The room was large and very comfortable. Tea, coffee making available in the room. Large bath/ shower room. The staff in the dining room were just amazing. So professional whilst happy and so obliging no matter how busy they were. The food was excellent. Really flavoursome especially the slow cooked Ribs . The grounds and views are lovely . IrelandThe breakfast staff let themselves down both mornings. Lots of things were empty at peak breakfast times and were not getting replaced or refilled. Met another guest who was standing around over 10 minutes waiting for some yoghurt. He was visibly annoyed. Hot food was well stocked. It was the fruits, yoghurts, cold meats etc that were being totally neglected and we were down at 9am both mornings. Also a young chap tried seating us at a dirty table n the first morning which had no cutlery instead of a clean and already prepared table close by. Only other complaint would be that you have to buy €2 bottles of water at the gym. Most gyms have complimentary water at the very least. Also we weren’t asked how our stay was upon checkout.
Room was a decent size. Great pint of Guinness at the bar and Chrish who works there really looked after us. Lovely guy. . Good size pool and good facilities.

IrelandThe golf course was closed due to the weather. Not the hotel's fault, but it appears we were the only ones who didn't get the message in advance. We may have changed our plans as that was the main reason for picking this particular hotel. We certainly didn't need to leave home so early. We were fortunate, however, that the hotel was able to give us early access to our room and we appreciated that gesture. We also booked it because of the leisure centre, however this has to be pre-booked. When we tried to book it for a time that suited, we were told it was fully booked so I didn't get to use the leisure centre at all. We wanted to watch F1 qualifying but were told all the tvs were linked with only one Sky box. On this basis the person who first requested a programme had "control" of the tv. We therefore missed qualifying.
The staff were excellent. Friendly and very helpful. A real asset. The food was also excellent. All meals were top notch and the breakfast was high quality. The spa and golf course are very good.

IrelandThe bar area was more like a restaurant vibe, a more food dining setup. Felt a little awkward just ordering a drink and sitting at 6 seater table when there were just 2 of us. There we're maintenance work scheduled for the Pool/Jacuzzi area on our checkout day, which was disappointing we couldn't use the facilities before we left.
Really enjoyed our stay here, Such a treat. We'll definitely be back! We had dinner both nights in Fredricks restaurant. I chose the Seabass as a main, and it was 10/10. I had to have it both nights! Friendly staff and comfortable room!

IrelandThere are no sockets by the beds , we found the room to be a little dated, no face cloths. A little underwhelming for the price paid but the beds were quite comfortable. There was a function on with music and microphone very loud until late
The spa and the ladies working there were so helpful and lovely. The girl with brown hair and glasses did our facials and it was amazing. We had food in the Aaron lounge, excellent selection of tasty gluten free options. Great selection of Gluten free options for breakfast too.

IrelandRooms were cold would nit heat up no matter how often wall switch was turned up. And at 301 a room when you order room service or eat breakfast strange to be asked to pay their and then it's a high end hotel charge back should be no issue especially as room was paid up front
