How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The house was fine, as expected, the bathroom could use some repair work. Very nice surrounding area of O'briensbridge, many walkable canal paths and a nice coffee kiosk near the bridge.

The outside front space needs improvement to the surface. The splendid 2+acre space at the back could be easily improved by simply mowing the meadow and improving the ground towards the river. The pillows were quite thin.
The simplicity of the operation. It has potential but needs even a modest investment. A partner to take a stake in the enterprise could undertake the development necessary.

Living room was booked for "maintenance" for about a day, while no visible maintenance was actually going on. Backyard is huge but polluted. Some stange fellow used kitchen when I walked downstairs one day - definitely not another guest. Ok-ish for me, but would not recommend the place to others.

We had trouble finding the place on google maps. I phoned the owner, and she guided us to the house.
The house had plenty of parking. The internet worked well. The room was not big. The double bed was up against the wall. The bed was comfortable. The shared kitchen was big. The bathroom was okay, but the toilet took forever to fill up after you flushed it,

The house was very warm & comfortable. Coal & logs left out to make a fire if we needed to. Plenty of safe parking, and in a very quiet area of OBriens Bridge. Only 15 mins to UL.

The shower took a bit to get used to, but got there in the end. Very small rooms and home but fine for what we needed

Nearest place to eat was 5 miles away. House was difficult to find as there was no sign outside. WiFi was there, but there no codes to access it

It was very basic but for what we paid we can't complain.
It has a fully equipped kitchen. Airfryer, fridge, toaster, kettle, oven and microwave. Lounge and TV. It was clean and comfortable. No one lives on site and we had the place to ourselves. Fine for a one night stop. Close to get into Limerick

The place is like a derelict house ,shouldn't be up as guest house ,is absolutely filthy the smell of must in it...gardens are disgraceful and there's also somebody living there ,,so I'll be going further about this property, was also refused my payment back ,

I was met at the property by a odd acting, shirtless man, looking for tools from my van to fix the property. I didn't want to let him into the van but after he persisted, I agreed to lend him a hammer. I checked into the room with my 10 year old daughter and we left for the evening, returning around 10pm. At 11 the owner turned up at my bedroom, ranting, with a tin off beer and what appeared to be a paint scraper! He said he could see people in the back garden and Ask me to come out of the room to look. I reluctantly did but there was no one there! At this stage my daughter was extremely scared. I told him I was going to bed and locked the door. The rest of the night was spent by myself sitting on the bed watching over my daughter to make sure he didn't come back. Terrifying night altogether.

Immediately met with handwritten "No parties/loud music" signs the second we opened the door was off-putting, and gave us a bad vibe. Immediately thought.. what kind of people stay here?! The "budget double" room was tiny, barely room to put a bag down, no hooks for wet towels. The bathroom didn't feel clean.
The location is fine, easy to find. Good parking.
