The restaurant lacked atmosphere in the evening- a very large scale venue for the hotel size, felt very impersonal. Food average and surprisingly with few healthy options to augment the spa experience. The restaurant has two entrances one of which was not staffed so people had to hang around and hoped to be noticed. Service at breakfast was slow and surrounding tables not cleared, felt understaffed.

Very friendly staff, great location with beautiful views. The hotel has a wonderful art collection. The spa facilities are very good and relaxing.

Having to walk through reception to get to the spa area wasn't ideal. The dinner menu was quite limited to my own tastes and therefore we ate outside of the hotel. However, breakfast was very nice.

A stunning hotel, set in a beautiful location. Staff are so helpful, and the facilities are second to none. Outdoor jacuzzi and bathing area were a winner for us at the Chill Spa. Fantastic night away. Will definitely recommend it and will also be back.

The one thing I didn't like was kids running up and down the corridor, especially when you were away for such a weekend and would be lovely to have a wee fridge in the room

The ice house is an amazing spot in the right location, clean, quiet, staff's are lovely and friendly, spa treatments amazing. Food is really good and the cook to order breakfast is amazing and fresh. The view over the river is just to die for. I would definitely recommend this hot spot.

The only thing I could say was the blanket on our bed wasn’t 100% clean as it had something that had obviously spilled on it & dried so you could feel it.

We had a really lovely stay at the Ice House. The staff were all very friendly & welcoming and the location is stunning - our room looked out on the beautiful River Moy. The spa facilities and therapists were excellent. And the food was really exceptional. The Ice House is a real find: a bijou spa hotel with a big heart. Thank you for making our trip to find my roots in Killala so perfect.

We recently stayed at The Ice House Hotel, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. The location is perfect, offering stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. It's an ideal spot to unwind and enjoy a relaxing break. The room suite was amazing—spacious, beautifully designed, and extremely comfortable. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, creating a luxurious and welcoming space to relax in. The spa facilities were outstanding, particularly the outdoor hot tub and the relaxation room with heated loungers. Both provided the perfect setting to switch off and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. The food was simply delicious. Every meal was fresh, full of flavour, and expertly prepared, making dining at the hotel an absolute pleasure. Overall, The Ice House Hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. I would highly recommend it and look forward to returning.

From the minute we entered the hotel, it was the calmness and total feeling of relaxation.
