Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Everything in the house was perfect for us. Great position as a base for touring in Co. Clare. We had a long stay - Dan was responsive to our additional needs for kitchen and linen extras, but never intrusive. (Great shower too!) Thank you so much!

United KingdomSmall things. Only one saucepan but two large stockpots and good frying pan was a bit challenging for our style of cooking. Small casserole dish now available
Clean, very comfortable and spacious. Excellent welcome pack greatly appreciated. Ample parking. Good shower, comfortable beds and seating. Spacious kitchen with loads of work surface, good oven, fridge/freezer dish washer and washing machine. Great location for exploring the cliffs of Moher and the Burren.

IrelandThe driveway is fairly steep as is mentioned on the listing and would be intimidating to a non experienced driver but that can’t be helped and didn’t really take away from our experience there. Just do first gear the whole way up and it’s grand.
We liked everything about it. Small person wanted to stay there forever. When we got there, there was little treats for herself and board games and toys left out for her. Such a thoughtful thing and meant a lot to her and even though we didn’t meet Dan himself, she kept saying about the nice man who left her toys. It’s very close to ennistymon so you’re a quick drive from the shop but yet feels very rural coz there’s horses outside your kitchen window.

United StatesIt is a peaceful, quiet, clean space five minutes from town but yet out in the country. We saw a horse out the front window. Dan was quite responsive to questions and even showed up to help us ignorant Americans figure out the espresso machine on a day which was personally very difficult for him. Light and bright, with beautiful big windows and a covered car parking space. A great base for seeing the Burren, the cliffs of Moher, the Aran Islands, Doolin, and Ennistymon.

The location is great and beautiful, with Irish countryside. Dan had kept some coffee, sugar and wine as a welcome gesture. Very nice of him. Beautiful cottage and a nice kitchen too.

ItalyVery nice and cozy accommodation, not far from Ennistymon (about 4km) but can only be reached by car. The kitchen proved to be a valuable resource: only 1 restaurant is open for dinner in Ennistymon, plus others near the coast (Lahinch) but they were all very crowded (we were there in August). However, we quickly managed to put together two excellent dinners because of the well-stocked supermarket (superValu) and the large, well-equipped kitchen. Although we never met the owner in person, he was always available during our stay for a text or phone call to assist us.

IrelandIt was the perfect getaway for my family, the accommodation is brand new and spotless, host was only a phone call away if we needed anything , Smart TV so you can watch Amazon or Netflix if you decide to stay in for an evening ,the location is 20 mins to Lahinch Beach,30 mins from the Cliffs of Moher and Moher Open Farm, 30 mins from Aillwee Caves and Falconry and 30 mins from Ennis. The food in the region cannot be faulted as the standard in borderline Michelin star in my view. If you want a relaxing and enjoyable holiday don't hesitate to book this property.

United StatesEverything is New and clean at this Cottage; my Family and I have enjoyed a lot our stay, the rooms are spacious, with big windows and beautiful views, each room has the minimum furniture needed to make you feel comfortable like at home. It is 5 min away from Ennis town, for us it was perfect since we enjoy more the landscaping views than the downtown homes/builds. Grocery stores are close, as well as other attractions as the Cliffs, Castles.. My kids had fun playing outside, and taking a look of horses at front. We did not have to worry about where to park, it is a peace of mind! The kitchen is pretty and full equipped. The welcome to us was kind and great! Dan answered some of our questions really fast.
