Not a dislike, more a suggestion, a set of coasters in the room to keep your lovely furniture from getting marked from the teacups

Excellent location for exploring Dublin and reasonably priced. The staff were all lovely and it felt like a home away from home. Crisp clean linen spotless and comfortable room. All facilities were on par. Lovely outdoor patio for those who like a cigarette so it caters for everyone. Just a fantastic gem.

The desk staff were polite but uninformed about our room and the property in general. The Gardiner Street neighborhood has a mixture of rooming houses, hostels and guest houses. Many of these properties appear to be of lower quality than Gardiner Lodge and we felt somewhat uncomfortable walking the street in the evening with our family. This was a very expensive stay so we didn't feel we got good value for our money.

The interior of the property was well kept and tidy! The room had high ceilings with character. A bar frig would have been nice to have. The breakfast was held in a lovely bright solarium and staff were friendly! Little patio to sit and relax.

Location handy. The reception would not allow a man to come up my room without my confirming it was ok. Clean, comfortable, and great value, especially including breakfast. Last breakfast time of 9.50am was good.

If I have to say something, that was breakfast. We had to leave quite early, at 7:45 for the bus, and breakfast wasnt ready yet. There were yogurt, musli, some pastries but no bread no coffee. We had to wait for some time to get it and I specifically told the manager in the evening that we are early. So I guess if you need to go even earlier, that might be a problem. Otherwise, if we were later, there wont be any problem:-)

Very nice small hotel close to the train station Connolly and also convenient for Dubliner Express for Airport or bus No. 41, which is just outside of Hotel. Everything was fine, no complaint. I like this english style very much. And they have this lift, to take your bags upstairs (3 floors) its like from The Adams family movie, or from Home alone:-))) I like it a lot.

No air conditioning, so room was very warm, couldn't leave the window open as too much seagull noise outside, made it hard to sleep!

Some of the streets around the hotel were a little rough with some drunks walking around.

Good-sized room. Clean & comfy. Good security with an automatic front door. Friendly staff and hassle free check-in. Good Irish breakfast. Allowed us to leave our suitcases for a few hours after check out which was helpful. Good general location to the centre of Dublin, plenty of restaurants and bars close by.

A hidden gem! Restored Georgian with all modern amenities and fantastic breakfast. lovely staff. Is in what they call a lively neighborhood but there is tons of things to do and city centre and tourists aspects are brisk 15 minute walk across the river.

Our room was very small, just fit the bed, with a small bath. Absolutely no view. Friends had a lovely large room and bath, but 4 flights up with no elevator. I would choose the upper level room.

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. There were nice seating areas in the hallways, facing out to a small but lovely garden. The walls had many pictures/maps worth spending time gazing at. Lots of books to borrow. Very clean and orderly. The location was very good, central - close to a train station for trips to the north; O'Connell St; lots of pubs; easy walking to museums. Breakfast was in pleasant downstairs rooms with skylights and windows to the garden. We didn't know the area, but felt safe.

Our room was super hot (5) even with the window open and whilst using the air fan provided. Room needs an air con unit really, for guests to be able to sleep when the temperature creeps up. The radiator was red hot in the bathroom - not sure that was needed. If you don’t already come from a big city, you might not feel too comfortable in the immediate area.

Delicious Irish breakfast and your orange juice was lovely! I’d suggest a coffee machine, rather than ultra strong percolated coffee. Great service, staff very attentive. The property is gorgeous, we overlooked the yard in our room (very pretty). Had everything we needed. Good bit of a walk to places like Temple Bar, but if you want to keep costs sensible, get your trainers on! A lovely stay and would recommend.
