The food was delicious.

No atmosphere about the place at all....it would have been nice to have had some entertainment in the evening to listen to.

Peaceful well appointed hotel

Though extremely comfortable, I had no control of the rooms temperature, it was very warm.

The staff and the breskfast

The room is in extreme need of refurbishing, a rusty radiator, phone looks years old, hand soap dispenser so worn it looks disgusting, a shower curtain over the bath, didn’t think they still made shower curtains, bath panel cracked, toilet bowl marked, when the toilet was flushed the pipes made a horrendous sound and had to run the cold water to stop the noise, the room was that bad we slept on top of the bed, the windows were not clean, large dead spider in front of the fireplace in the room where lift is which was there when we checked in and still there when we checked out, have to say this was the worst hotel room we have stayed in

Excellent hotel. From check in to check out. Room was perfect. Staff are so friendly and helpful. . Special mention to Kinga who arranged a surprise for my husbands birthday. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Air con broken in room, asked for a fan was told by reception there was none. But when mentioned the room was too hot for our 5 month old to sleep in the manager came to look at the air con and when he couldn’t fix it, he managed to then find us a fan. Hot water wasn’t working had to call reception who told me to ‘bear with her’ then hung up with no further communication only for I tried hot water again a few minutes later to discover it had been switched on.

Breakfast was great and the R&R restaurant is really nice. We had a nice view and staff were friendly. The dinner in the brewery bar was also really nice and good value.

The room was not clean. There was a pair of someone else’s socks under a piece of furniture and dust everywhere. I had a bath and when I pulled out the plug was covered in hair. The sheet covering the bed base covered in stains on the right hand side. The room itself has the potential to be great it’s decorated lovely and very spacious and comfortable but a deeper clean required.

Friendly staff and fantastic food

The room was a decent size, it was a relaxing setting, the bar food was good.

The air conditioning was not working and we should have been informed in advance as it was known, the hotel was dated and worn out and areas needed upgrading. Our room was noisy from boiler/generator outside. Overall it looked like the hotel was cutting back

Air-conditioning didn't work buy staff brought us a fan which was nice, poor music choice for spa, breakfast was poor - very greasy and no cover on buffet food with flies around

Comfortable beds and great food

The hotel management fail to meet the 4 star standards it sets for itself. Too few staff waiting tables. No walk in shower, must climb into bath which is difficult for elderly guest. Sockets at floor level hard to reach. Table in room broken and wobbly. Room decor very dark, and tiny window at shoulder level room 216 with very little natural light. Feel like a nuisance when have to ask for marmalade, butter, or cups at breakfast.

Food was very good! Food and beverage manager she was very pleasant. Cocktails and wine list very good and breakfast was also brilliant. Bar and staff had a great vibe and check in very pleasant and efficient. New spa and packages look excellent, Dining room with open view is a great addition. Room had tasteful decor.

When I stayed last year it was faultless, This time house keeping was not great. Toilet was not clean, light bulbs not working, Dead flys and a room was dusty, Bathmats need updated.

Room was spacious, staff was very friendly, breakfast options great and dinner decent as well.

The area outside our room was a bit noisy, our room seemed to be located above a bin area and a lot of glass bottles were being disposed during our 1-night stay.
