Location , Great Host DJ and his Mum Susan and young lady who served us breakfast and dinner on one of our days.House was Beautiful, we stayed in the Deluxe Room , Comfy bed, linen and pillows, Great nights sleep. Bathroom with fantastic bath and separate shower, big fluffy towels. Cleanliness of all areas exceptional.Breakfast choice of cereal, porridge yummy, fresh and dried fruits, orange juice coffee or tea. Home baked scones, brown bread, jam. Cooked breakfast bacon, mushrooms, tomato, black pudding and eggs fried, boiled, poached or scrambled. We had dinner one night, a four course dinner with a choice of 2 starters, soup, 2 mains and 3 desserts. A fantastic wine and drinks list for anyone. Food was Exceptional both for dinner and breakfast. We had tea and homemade fruit cake Yummy in drawing room. We had our 2 well behaved dogs with us, no problem. Plenty of great walks for the doggys. Great place to stay and close to all visitor attractions. Hope to return. A Very Special place. Hope to return.

Fabulous old country house set in beautiful grounds next to the loch. Full of history, like an Aladdin’s cave of family treasures over the centuries.

Idyllic place ,surrounded by beautiful walks and we just relaxed and enjoyed all it had to offer. Great welcome from owners Susan and DJ,who provide us with a home from home. Fire lit for us every evening in beautiful sitting room and food was just delicious with home grown foods ,so fresh and well presented. Very dog friendly so much so that our English bulldog Nancy ,reluctant to leave today as were ourselves I would like to thank DJ for his warmth and great informative chats. The whole experience is best we have ever had and it is just the place to go for peace and tranquility. Bedrooms fantastic beautiful antique furniture ,comfortable bed and shower/bath with great hot water. Beautiful sights to visit in surrounding villages and not far to travel. I would just like to say thank you Susan and DJ for sharing your beautiful home with us and hopefully will get back later in the year Warmest regards Helen ,Martin and Nancy x

Very authentic grand house and home. Lots of history and engaging hosts. Excellent breakfast, and although dinner was short on choice, the quality and taste of the food was high. The public rooms are wonderful.

A bit shabby…cobwebs on the windows, and bedrooms are authentic for a country home, but at this price, the bathrooms are poor, ill-equipped, poor shower pressure and we shouldn’t be standing in a round-bottom bath with a tatty shower curtain to take a shower. No tea and coffee in bedrooms. No room service to make bed or tidy room, and towels had no chance to dry out during the day, so we’re still heavy and damp on our second morning.

Excellent food and very friendly, polite staff. Like sleeping in a stately home! Susan was very helpful in drying out our very wet walking gear. The waitress was delightful.

Some tea and coffee making facilities would have been welcome, either in the room or dining room.

Terrific breakfasts, marvellous dinners. Welcoming, warm and unobtrusive. Lovely grounds and House imaginatively managed and orientated to environmental matters. Great room with a view of the grounds and extremely comfortable bed.

Nothing to dislike. A delight to stay for three nights.

I was given a marvellous room, actually three rooms including a bedroom, a dressing room and a bathroom. The hostess, Susan Kellet, and her son D.J. werecharming and interesting. Meals were excellent. The other guests present were entertaining, interesting company. The house was both historic and a family home. As I drove up the lengthy drive, I saw snipe and other birds. I walked in the beautiful walled garden and went on Lough Conn to fish. President Joe Biden had recently used the house as his base while in Mayo and it was a good choice by his staff.

    Nothing.
