The place is lovely, and was super clean and well equipped. Our host left scones and bread for breakfast, which was a delight. Perfect for our needs!

    Literally nothing bad to say

I nearly didn't want to leave a good review as I don't want others to know about this hidden gem, it was a slice of heaven, just so relaxing, perfect location, so clean, comfy, cosy and Catherine is just so lovely

We found some of the pots were a little dirty and we came across a few items that would suggest the place wasn't thoroughly cleaned, for example, there was a dirty sock down the side of one of the chairs. However it was still quite clean other than these few issues which didn't cause any problems. The website advertises a tennis court but the tennis court is dilapidated.. It wasn't a big problem at all but just a heads up for any other tennis players.

The cottage was lovely and warm and had everything we needed for our stay, including utensils, condiments, blankets etc. The location was excellent and we could walk to the beach which was great. The host had made us fresh scones and bread on arrival which were lovely. Overall, it was a fabulous stay.

Nothing, it was all really great.

Location was great. Door was open for us with lights on, a great welcome. Catherine had a welcome platter of scones and brown bread, butter and jam, all we had to do was put the kettle on and relax.

There was nothing at all that we did not like.

There was a small shop around the corner where we purchased all we needed in the way of food, so started off each day on a healthy breakfast cooked in the immaculately clean kitchen of the cottage.

Beautiful little cottage in achill with the back drop of the Minaun Heights and the Atlantic Ocean in front of you with 2 pubs, restaurant and coffee shop 1 minute walk away literally. The beach is only a 5 minute walk or less too. The place was immaculately clean , the beds were very comfy, nice and warm and heats up quickly. Our host Catherine was very accommodating and even had fresh baked scones and bread for us on arrival , highly recommend 😀

The bed I slept in was a little soft.

Lots of things: Location (near the local store, the beach, and Slievemore Deserted Village); The cottage was clean and light, and was thoughtfully set up with kitchenware, extra towels, and games. The living room furniture was comfy. The host was friendly and responsive. They met us at the bus stop and took us to the cottage.

The bedrooms were fairly small so limited facilities for hanging and putting clothes away, but not a real problem.

It was a warm and clean house, with a well equipped kitchen (although no dishwasher), and a washing machine. The beds were very comfortable and there were lovely big white towels. The outside area was secure for our dog and there was an airer to hang the washing. Whilst the house interior wasn’t modern it was all very comfortable and a relaxing place to stay. The house is in the centre of Keel only a few minutes walk from the beach, supermarket, cafe, pubs and takeaway. Also lovely arrive to find scones, jam, bread and wine.
