Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandThere should be at least two bottles of water in the refrigerator, and it would be nice to have a coffee machine with a few coffee capsules.
It's a beautiful interior, a combination of white and red.

United StatesNothing to complain about.
I do enjoy staying north of the Liffey River and this hotel is not quite as walkable as other places we have stayed. But the hotel was brand new! the staff was so accommodating and anticipated our every need. We enjoy Citizen M even though the rooms are small, the price is great.

Very clean, super close to city centre, easy check in, easy access and price was also okay! Could use tablet for everything.

United StatesNothing comes to mind because everything was great.
The CitizenM St. Patrick's was by far, the best hotel we stayed during our 2 week tour of Scotland and Ireland. It's only been open for a couple months, and this place rocks. Unique and modern. Everything is done via a tablet in the room. Lighting, Curtains, Climate, and TV, are controlled via the tablet. On the second day, we met the Hotel Manager, Jason. I told him about Americans liking "washcloths" and he quickly said he had a shipment coming in the next day. There were lots of Americans in town for the Kansas State vs. Iowa State football game. Jason said the washcloths were coming in to accommodate the Americans. The staff I met, Rafael, Ciara, and a young American girl from Boston were all super friendly and very helpful. The CitizenM is not just a hotel, it's a vibe, and a very cool vibe at that.

FranceGreat room for one person. Would not suggest sharing a room with someone. Bed was comfy. Pillows worked as there were a couple different sizes. I suggest removing the towels from above the toilet. That's just gross to put them there. Move them outside the cubicle. A glass of wine at the bar was waaaay too expensive for the quality. It was nice to have the umbrellas. The very lowest level of light from the iPad went out after 1 minute which was disconcerting and could be potentially dangerous. Overall I enjoyed my room and would return.

BelgiumNo Irish coffee available ;-) Parking the car is pretty expensive. We didn't get the best advice. Avoid the parking nearby (50 Euros a day). Look for parking sports in the street.
Staff was excellent. Couldn't be better Location was great Breakfast was good. Rooms are small. The bed is situated under the window. Not always pratical A bit expensive

NetherlandsWe missed a kettle, but we asked for some hot water downstairs at the breakfast bar (we had not booked breakfast) and they were kind enough to give us some.
The bed was amazing, it was nice to have good airconditioning and the shower was perfect. We also had fun playing around with the settings on the tablet, trying all the different colours for the light and such. Location is great, too. Everything we wanted to see in Dublin's city centre was within 20 minutes walking distance.

United KingdomThe room design is unhinged - who puts in a bed surrounded by 3 walls??! My 6ft partner had to clamber over me in the night to use the loo, and this was disruptive to our night’s sleep. People with any mobility issue whatsoever could not manage this kind of space, and I’d encourage any couple to book an accessible room. Our bed would only really suit a single traveller. There should be tea and coffee facilities in room. The pillows are actually not comfortable because they are so high.
The location is perfect - a short walk from the main sights in Dublin and just across the road from the fascinating historical site of St Patrick’s Cathedral, but also lovely and quiet - very well soundproofed at night. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the staff were friendly and approachable and obliging. Breakfast was good, and gluten free bread was freely available on request. Great value overall
