The walls are not enough thick, so you can hear all movements outside. There is no shutter, only a light curtain, so we woke up with the sun. The bed is very soft ( room nr.1), but if you are not too sensitive for these things, you will have a good night's sleep. My husband had, I did not. A lot depends on your sensitivity and habits.

The owner is very kind and helpful, answers all questions, give suggestions and very likeable. The atmosphere of the room is pleasant.

Bathroom needs refurbishing. Brushed nylon bedding isn’t nice - cotton is better. The vegetarian breakfast had no veggie sausage or veggie bacon, just full Irish minus the meat items.

This has the potential to be a top-rate B & B as the rooms are large, the host is extremely genial, very helpful and obviously loves looking after people. The continental breakfast and home made pancakes were very good. The washbasin in the bedroom instead of the bathroom proved very handy. Everything was kept spotlessly clean.

The bed was not for me. It was very hard but some may like that. I couldn’t find how to adjust the temperature of the room and we were only staying one night so I didn’t ask (my fault). I also struggled to turn on the bedside lamps and never got them turned on. I didn’t find the WiFi password until the morning at breakfast when I looked over the table in the entry hallway and it was written on a piece of paper. Also the hair dryer was on the same entry table. I found myself whispering in my room because I could hear the people’s voices in the next room over.

The location is really pretty. The host Sara and her husband were very kind and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious. The decoration was very cute and on theme with Puffins. The host let me select our room.

Smaller than expected and farther from town where harder to walk, had to take taxis and would recomend people have a car and not plan on walking.

Staff was friendly, but felt the room and amenities were not what booking represented. Smaller than expected and further from town with hard to walk between the two.

Puffin B&B is located on a lovely, quiet hillside, a few minutes' drive from the Cliffs of Moher and the ferry to the Aran Islands. Sara, the guest, is very nice and helpful: she cooked us breakfast half an hour in advance so that we could catch the ferry to the Aran Islands. The rooms were lovely, the bathroom had all the necessary. Breakfast was very good, we could choose the day before between continental or Irish breakfast, or pancakes. Outside there is a lawn with benches for the guests with a beatiful view. Parking is available around the house.

Facility is older and needs maintenance, sink is in main room not bathroom, 2 tea bags for a 2 night stay and dining room locked so no way to get more, cramped room, no soundproofing at all so noise from other rooms and road.

Location was fine, owners willing and helpful, breakfast adequate.

1.4 miles from bus stop was a little bit of a challenge for a 70‘s+ couple. However, this was my oversight when I booked the room.

The only downsize is the size of the shower and bath. If you are of large statue, you may have difficulty with the shower or bath. We had 2 rooms so we experinced both.

It was a very quiet house in the country side. Very close to Cliff of Moher and Doolin where you can catch a ferry to visit the Aran Island. Definitely spend a couple of nights to visit all the sites around the area. We were only able to spend 2 nights, could have done more for a couple more nights. Sarah is very friendly and has excellent suggestions for local attractions. Cost of breakfast is so reasonable, it is a bargain for what you get.

    The shower wasn’t great.

The accommodations were simple but great for our traveling family with 2 teens. We had the en suite family room that hasn’t been updated like the others, but the beds were so soft and cozy and each kid had their own bed. The breakfast was delicious!! Our host and her son were warm and helpful. Great dinner at the Roadside Tavern was PHENOMENAL. Just a few mins up the road. Local musicians jamming. Best beef stew of the trip.
