I wasva bit disappointed about the breakfast, as I asked for a bowl of porridge and an Egg Benedict, and could only have one or the other, and not both.

Tea and coffee dispenser a bit dated could do with an upgrade. Filling a small cup going up and down to a dispenser which emptied fast during busy times. Sink a bit small in bathroom and shower head leaking. Bathroom could do with some painting and fixtures repaired and shower. Carpet in room needed vacuuming. A little more attention to detail required.

Breakfast in the main hotel was a bit disappointing. The main breakfast was fine but tea and coffee were help yourself from flasks on the counter. The toaster seemed to be acting up and supplies seemed a little sparse. If breakfast was better I’d give the property 10/10.

I stayed in the coach house, which is a little away from the main hotel. The room was gorgeous and the whole building has been very tastefully restored. Bathroom was lovely with lots of towels and Yoya products. Slippers and robes were provided. Alice on checkin was very helpful. To enter and exit on foot you follow a path and exit by secure gate.

No heating of any sort in the room on a January night with minus temp outside. Dirty toilet. We did not complain to reception at the time because it was very late at night when we realised. Even with this in mind we would stay again.

The bathroom looked a tiny bit tired, missing toilet roll holder.

The rectory looks really nice-i booked a double room which ended up being in the coach house. I would have happily upgraded to the rectory on seeing the difference.

As there were no staff in Boyne House it took us a while to find our room. If there were directional signs giving the room numbers it would have helped.

The breakfast was very good. The bed was very comfortable and loved how the room was decorated. The staff were very helpful.

It would have been helpful to know where to park upon arrival since check-in is at the hotel around the corner. We parked in front of the hotel & it was a challenge driving to the parking for the accommodation due to a traffic jam at that intersection. The other issue was with the water pressure in the shower, it was great until I realized it was flooding the bathroom.

Lovely roomy accommodation, helpful staff! Quiet as well. Didn’t get to try the breakfast due to our early departure.

Poor instruction where to get admission into property.

It was lovely however we had a long wait to get an answer from the telephone number left by the locked gate. Thank goodness it was a good day and no rain. Then we were directed to hotel to collect key. For 2 of our party (blue badge holders) this was not good.

Not knowing how to access accomodation on first arrival. When booking, a highlighted note to explain about where to pick up key etc would be a good idea

Check in process was disjointed, should receive an email prior to arrival to tell us where to check in, Our room was extremely warm, a fan or air conditioning would have been a good addition. But overall we had a great stay!

Given the price of the rooms, some features let the ‘luxury’ feel down; The bathroom door would not close/lock. The bath/showerhead lever was broken, meaning both came on at the same time. The complimentary water left in our room had a strange cloudy white appearance. The in-room tea/coffee facilities were subpar. There was a large hole in our bed linen. No sippers provided with the robes.

Beautiful location in Slane, the private car parking giving peace of mind during our stay. Lovely quiet room, beautifully renovated while keeping the 19th century feel! Loved the easy check in and the relaxed nature of the House. The soaps were beautiful and the bathrobes were a nice addition. Breakfast was good quality with a good selection - we ordered the ‘overnight oats’ and a ‘small breakfast’ from the cooked menu. Continental offerings included breads, pastries, cereals and yogurts. Tea/coffee as well as fruit juices also provided. All staff were lovely :).
